Five star accommodation with a beautiful bush aspect. We went to sleep each night soundly to the sound of the tree frogs, having enjoyed a lovely wood fire and a barbecue on the balcony overlooking the pond. Our 2 year old loved Jimmy Puddle, the local tame duck, as well as the chucks who gave us eggs, and the many surprises of the attached nursery. Peter was a perfect host and made us all very welcome. A perfect start to our drive up the coast.

I have been telling everyone in town about the bear named "Henry" and how our poetic culture has now gone back overseas. After the tough travelling you guys did to get here it was nice that the Treehouse environment enabled you to relax on your way to Bryon Bay.. Thank you for your wonderful comments and as my daughter might say "you are soooooo welcome back anytime". You will also love the Byron hinterland and the cafes and shops of Bangalow. Hopefully the flood waters will clear for some wonderful beach days on the rest of your trip.

Our stay at the Treehouse Retreat at Diamond Waters was wonderful in all respects, from the warm welcomes from Peter and Kerry (and Jimmy the duck!), to the great (free!) coffee, to the superb standard of accomodation to the local attractions at the doorstep. One treehouse comfortably accomodated our family of 4 for 3 lovely nights on our way to the far north coast. This is a hidden gem, not to missed by anyone coming to this area. We will be back! Hi Rebecca - thanks for such a wonderful review and it would be wonderful if you could visit again and explore more of our local area - I think blue swimmer crabs with glass of wine in hand on south beach (opposite the Treehouses) at dusk sounds pretty good.

The treehouse was a super treat for us after a long drive from Gold Coast. Despite the bad traffic, we were able to get there by 7pm. Our wonderful host, Peter received us and we got settled in very quickly. We we were there for 2 nights with our girls aged 2 and 5. The place is truly a 5 star standard. It was perfect for our family for the 2 days were there.

We went to a few places while we were there. Ricardoes Tomatoes and Strawberries and the beautiful beaches nearby. There are many nice eating places nearby and also the supermarket if you're planning to cook.

The nursery at the treehouse is an amazing place. Our kids were so happy exploring the grounds and Peter brought us around the place, together with Skye the super friendly resident dog. We went on a little adventure to the little beach at the Treehouse, facing the 3 Brothers (a group of 3 mountains). The view was awesome and perfect for our tired city soul.

We should have spent more time there! But our schedule was so packed. We would be back!

Hi Rina, Your review slipped under the radar over the busy Christmas period but thank you so much for coming to visit. I am not sure whether I should thank you more for the review or simply the fact you brought your wonderful family to our place. Your girls absolutely give definition to the words "adorable and cute". PS I love following your adventures on Facebook!

An outstanding retreat constructed with meticulous care and attention to every detail. Fittings are vastly better than any 5 star hotel and yet it is in a eco setting where privacy and winding down are the priority. While we only stayed one night, we could easily have stayed and chilled for several weeks very happily and explored the local river and beach setting. On top of everything one could want from the very best eco-resort setting, Peter has master barista skills! We had to drag ourselves away as we could have very very happily spent days chatting and enjoying the surroundings and atmosphere.

Definitely a place to return to over and over again!

Room Tip: Both tree-houses are paradise.

We spent our 10th wedding anniversary at the Diamond Waters Treehouse Retreat and we could not have been happier! Living only 40 minutes away we still felt like we were a world away and felt ourselves relax the moment we arrived. The way were made to feel like we were the most important people in the world by Peter and his staff was amazing!!! Look forward to our next stay!

We had a relaxing stay at this beautiful retreat. The nursery was a bonus with great advice! Great tea and biscuits too. Hopefully we'll be back one day. Robyn and Scott

Steph & Rod Meek.
After a long drive from Adelaide to Byron Bay then down Diamond Waters Treehouse Retreat was exactly what we were hoping for. Travel accommodation expectations are not always realised on arrival when compared to brochures & website info however Treehouse Retreat & surrounds was simply beautiful.Accom is modern, functional. but most importantly one of the most peaceful places we have stayed in our many years of extensive Australian travel.Coffee shared with delightful informative owners Peter& Kerrie in the adjoining tropical nursery managed by helpful staff rounded off the whole experience Lots to see in surrounding country side, many small rest. cafes with good food good coffee.
