“Lovely new management! X”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013 via mobile

The Royal Oak is now really worth a visit. The new management are really friendly and will always offer a warm welcome.
The food is really tasty and very good value for money!
The overall cleanliness is excellent, you no longer stick to the tables. The heating is always on making it warm and cosy.
Please support this lovely village pub and you won't be disappointed.

“New management superb September 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

I will keep this brief

1 Very clean in every respect.

2 Very professional and welcoming management & staff.

3 Very good value 2 for 1 on all meals and good quality food for the price.

4 Very good drink selection and the beer is clearly looked after in the correct way and served as it should be.

In summary the new management are are a family that are clearly experienced in the pub trade and are treating the place with the love and respect it deserves. I live locally and am delighted at the positive steps that have been taken in a short space of time....Long may it continue.

“Very nice. Lovely new landlady.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

There is a new landlady who moved in around the 19th August at the Royal Oak and she is very polite and friendly, she is mostly in the kitchen as chef cooking the meals that are on an amazing value 2 for 1 offer for only £10 so her husband or son is usually behind the bar. The menu is excellent and there is a good range of choice available. They have a menu called 'golden years' which I have been told is available all day everyday for all ages, the only difference is the portions are slightly smaller, 2 courses are around £6 and 3 courses for about £8. The pub is much cleaner and more welcoming than before. I highly reccomend this pub for food and for drinks as the staff are lovely and friendly and the drinks taste as they should now! I was also very pleased to hear that well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar area!

“Under new management”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

Chris has just taken over in the last couple of days and got the Royal Oak up and running again. A little bit quiet at the moment, but we had a very pleasant lunch and enjoyed the friendly service. Pedigree on draught was excellent.
Great location and lots of good walking nearby. Will definitely go back
