“Fantastic weekend at Tremfan!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

We have had a fantastic weekend at the hall! We were made to feel so welcome and loved our front facing sea view room and the roaring open fires. The staff were so freindly and could not do enough for us. The food in the restuarant was fantastic (I can recommend the salt marsh lamb) and we have come home feeling so relaxed. It was so good that when we checked out we booked again for 3 nights over the May bank holiday and we can’t wait to go back.

Room Tip: Go for a front facing room for fantastic sea views

“Best Sunday lunch on the Llyn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

We are very fortunate to live within walking distance of Tremfan Hall. We have been eating here for over 15 years and it never disappoints. It is also as good during the week but a real bargain on Sunday's. The views are spectacular, embracing Cardigan Bay and the mountains of Snowdonia. The service is good, attentive and friendly staff. The Tremfan Old Smokey starter is lovely. The mains are always delicious and served with a nice variety of vegetables. Just hope Sue never retires as it beats all the other restaurants in the area by a mile! Make sure to book in the summer as it is always very busy. Perfect place for weddings and celebrations .

“Wonderful Saturday night meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

How does anyone visit an area regularly for 40 years and not know about a great place to eat there? My friend had booked (a table for 3) and I noticed the sign on the right on the way through Llanbedrog. Blink and you'd miss it.
The place was full and we were shown to our table immediately. You'll need to book on a weekend night. It took 45 minutes from getting there to be seated, order wine and food and the starters to arrive. Not unreasonable for a leisurely night out. I couldn't decide between the pork belly and the spider crab bisque; I opted for the pork and the lady brought a cup of the bisque to try - unforgetable and a must if you are there. The duck was perfect (for the main course) though eyeing the meals being trotted out elsewhere, it all looked good. £30 gets you just about any combination of starter and main and though I'm partial sizeable meals, I couldn't manage a sweet. The service was unobtrusive, informed, charming and efficient. The only other place to touch them on the penninsula is probably Plas Bodegroes, which I'm a confirmed fan of - and they have a Michelin star!

“Tremfantastic! (the husband suggested that, honest...)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

We had to use the satnav to find Tremfan Hall from our holiday cottage in Aberdaron but it was well worth searching out, despite no local signage provided by the council to help as we got closer!
Having the place to ourselves on a late September evening was made even more special by our Maitre D offering to light us our very own fire on our arrival and giving us the attention, efficiency and professionalism as if we were in the company of a full restaurant of paying customers.
We didn't feel awkward or a nuisance and, to be honest, would probably insist on a personal service next time too, including having the menu decided and printed out that evening for us to reflect the freshness of the ingredients available. Fed and watered like Kings and the chef coming out to speak to us after our meals topped off a perfect evening in stunning surroundings.
Chatting to our Maitre D between courses, her enthusiasm and love for the place is both obvious and infectious. Stunning views and even after a fabulous meal, we would insist you experience the artistry of the desserts, particularly the Chocolate and Hazelnut Torte with chocolate jelly.
