hotel is attractive and additional building have been added tastefully. grounds are very pretty and well maintained . room was large, modern andthe bed was very comfortable. breakfast was help your self and cooked in bulk, which is standard with this size of hotel, but was tasty and no real issue. cant wait to go back.

We use this hotel constantly as just round the corner from out world HQ I am also a member of the leisure club.
This hotel is fantastic the staff are friendly helpful and always on hand.
I stayed Thursday evening after a horrible journey they were kind and empathetic.
The rooms are of a high standard and the leisure facilities always clean and well maintained.
It's a joy to stay and use the hotel so frequently.

Thank you all for always making me welcome

What an amazing hotel. Beautiful architecture and very sensitively and tastefully extended from the original buildings - the new parts have all the atmosphere of the older parts. Easy parking and lots of it - I arrived at 7.00pm and still managed to get a space a very short walk from reception. Lovely welcome. Outstanding bedroom - lovely view out to the river. Spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated, air-conditioned and lots of goodies for those peckish moments. Dinner was just great. Artisan breads to start, fish and chips with a contemporary twist for the main course and an exquisite poached pear with ginger ice cream for dessert all served by very friendly yet discrete staff. Had a super night's sleep - very comfortable bed. Breakfast was standard fare but that didn't detract from a faultless experience. Highly recommended!

It would take too long to detail everything that went wrong but mainly sloppy staff and poor service. On a big front a running toilet in room was not fixed, reported at 18:00 but still running when we returned from dinner at 11:30, meant at change of rooms at midnight. Second major was booking a particular table for dinner over looking the Thames in the restaurant with reception for our 30th wedding anniversary dinner.
We arrived to a full restaurant to be offered a table in the corner , our booking was written on their run sheet, their answer was we don't take bookings. I wonder why reception took the booking? Needless to say we dined elsewhere at short notice for that special meal.

Breakfast is typically buffet style, either the offerings are nearly cold or "stewed"

Will not use this mini chain again

Room Tip: Ask for a room near breakfast room, they are vastly supior as we discovered when they moved us at mi...

We stayed here for two nights because we were going to an all-day event just to the east of Oxford. The hotel is situated just off the ring road to the south of Oxford; so it was easy to get to our event via the ring road and the A40. Despite this proximity to the ring road the hotel is in extensive grounds bordering the Thames (or a tributary thereof) and so was actually quite peaceful.
We had a spacious, comfortable and well-appointed room and were impressed by the security. To enter the bedroom corridors you needed to use your room passkey.
The hotel had a traditional feel about it; yet one would say its furnishing and decor were quite up-to-date. The food was good and the service was OK. It did seem as if many of the staff were inexperienced or some did not speak English vey well.
Overall though, we thought it was very good value for money (we were on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal) and we would be very happy to stay there again.

This is an awful hotel - overpriced - 200 pounds for a very average room - located a 15 pound taxi ride or an hours walk from the city centre - yet masquerades as close to the city centre / bland rooms and furnishings with low ceilings and tatty furniture and terrible reception staff - my assistant was lethargic and bored and had difficulty locating the train station for me on the map - there is only one! We are moving to a good hotel in the morning - can't wait!

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else

Not sure what I expected but this hotel is lovely. It is set in lovely grounds and I was made most welcome. Checked in to a fabulous room right at the top of the hotel with a little balcony and open views just what I needed after a very hard week. I came here by accident as the Hotel I was in could not accommodate an extra night but how glad I was. In fact I am looking to spending a weekend here with the family. Would have packed a swimming costume if I had known. Thoroughly recommend
