I have visited and revisited (tells its own story) this pub many times since the refurbishment and the welcome, food and beer have been of a consistently good standard. If you are wanting fine dining then go to any number of good (and much, much more expensive) restaurants in the area, however, if you are in this pretty village, are hungry, thirsty and in need of a warm welcome then the Nags Head is a safe bet. The only improvement (for us - maybe not others) would be if this pub allowed dogs (there is a small room with hard flooring aside from the main pub/eating area that would do very well). There is a pub a couple of miles away that does allow man's best friend and it hasn't harmed their trade at all, in fact it is a key differentiator!
