In the fall 2013 my wife and I toured Ireland for 5 weeks by bus (Bus Eireann). No driving for us on the “wrong” side of the street! We chose lodging based primarily on 1) Location : close walking distance to center of town 2) TripAdvisor evaluations 3) cost (value). We stayed primarily in B & B’s. Our 3 nights at the Whins in were mid October. The tourists were gone and it was a quiet stay. The B&B is well run and gets extra credit for being so environment friendly. Very good breakfasts. I had come down with a bad cold and spent much of the stay hunkered down. Their library, commons area, was a godsend for me. Very comfortable spot to weather it out. We were able to take a couple of nice hikes, right from the B & B. A beautiful area. The B & B is just a short walk into the village. Highly recommended.
