“Lovely B&B in Ballybunion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Mary and James are truly welcoming hosts. They pre-think your needs and are quietly providing for them all the time. Breakfasts were fabulous - a great selection of hot and cold offerings and the cooked breakfasts were terrific! The room was large and airy with lots of light and a nice private bath. The location was perfect, near the ocean and golf. I would highly recommend it, and would stay there again when I return to Ireland.

My son and I just returned from a golf trip through Ireland. We were running late getting up to Ballybunion and didn't get to the 19th Lodge until 11 p.m. Sure enough, Mary was at the front desk waiting for us. She was very warm and welcoming and even showed us two different room options. The Lodge itself is immaculate -- it looks like they give the rooms a fresh coat of paint every other week. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms are perfect. The breakfast the next morning was spot on! Mary and James have this place running to perfection -- they work hard and care about the place and their guests. And, they are about a half mile to the first tee box at Ballybunion. My only disappointment was that we stayed just one night -- I wish we had more time to stay at The 19th Lodge -- we will be back in the future. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Ian Woosnam room was fabulous!

We had a lovely stay at the 19th lodge beside the beautiful beach and golf course. James and Mary really made us feel at home. They arranged a taxi and booked the lovely Promenade restaurant for us where the seafood was excellent.

My husband, young son and I stayed here recently and we were so impressed with everything about the lodge. Mary and her husband James are the most amazing hosts I have ever come across, they were so welcoming and accommodating. Mary went out of her way to organise a babysitter for our son and reassured us that she would pop in and out to make sure all was ok while we went out for dinner at a local restaurant that she had booked for us. The evening was perfect, we got a lovely table with a view, which Mary had of course arranged, and came back to find our little boy sleeping peacefully. The room itself was gorgeous, really big and incredibly comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious and our 16 month old loved Mary's pancakes and wolfed them down with gusto. We're already looking forward to our next visit and would thoroughly recommend the 19th Lodge to anyone visiting Ballybunion.

My husband and I had never stayed at a B&B before "The 19th Lodge." It was wonderful!! The rooms and service were exemplary. It is also across the street from Ballybunion golf course and within walking distance to town and beach areas. Mary and James went out of their way to make evert guest feel special. We will most assuredly be coming back!

Mary and James Beasley make you feel as though you are staying at a friends house. Each room has a King Size bed and a separate bath, Mary's pancake breakfasts were the best I have ever had and the service was terrific. I went with eight golfers and we played at the BalluBunion courses which are right across the road. Very convenient and great hosts!!
I highly recommend it to anyone golfing in Ireland!!

My wife and I travelled Ireland for the entire month of June 2013 and the 19th Lodge was one of the very best B&B's. A great location for the Ballybunion golf courses, the room and services were wonderful and Mary and James were terrific hosts.
