a superlative hotel/bed and breakfast.

over the years aoife and seamus brock have taken their four room bed and breakfast and transformed it into a deluxe small hotel, but with all the charm of the b and b.

beautiful rooms. great breakfasts. fantastic lounge. a bar. the best restaurant in town. and great irish craic. all across the street from the unparalleled ballybunion golf course.

don't miss it!

“Best palce to stay & play!”

Teach de Broc

Aug 8, 2007

There simply is no better place to stay & play golf at Ballybunion. The guesthouse is across the road walking distance to the Ballybunion clubhouse and the driving range is directly out the front door !! Our room was large & well kept. The hotel serves a good cooked to order breakfast and full or light evening meals are available everyday except monday night. You can also walk over & have full access to the Ballybunion dining room for lunch or dinner.

“A Truly Wonderful Experience !”

Teach de Broc

Jul 2, 2007

Aoife & Seamus Broc certainly know how to do it (their 2 sons are coming along beautifully as first class hosts, too). This wonderful husband & wife team made my recent stay - 4 nights with 4 days of constant, hard rain - a truly fun and memorable experience. Along with their incredibly pleasant and helpful staff (be sure to meet Susan, a superior hostess), Aoife & Seamus made the constant rain a non-factor. Just having the fortune of being a guest at Teach de Broc was worth my trip! I was barely able to even experience the golf course at Ballybunion (rained out after only 3 holes completed); yet, my mornings, daytimes and evenings at Teach de Broc were fantastic. Great laughs, great food, great conversations, great guests (and staff) to chat with, and all in a surrounding that truly was 4 stars. GREAT CRAIC! The entire Teach de Broc facility - common areas, spacious guest rooms, living room area, small bar area, restaurant - was simple gorgeous. Meticulous, and decorated simply but with elegance. The staff was always at the ready when needed, and the overall atmosphere was truly what Ireland is all about. in addition, "Strollers," the Broc's new restaurant within the facility, is a "don't miss." I went to many places in Bullybunion to eat and drink, and this one is by far the best. If you are going to play golf at Ballybunion, or even if you are just going to be traveling anywhere in this area of Kerry and want a really top notch place (yet reasonably priced) to use as your "base," (like I did when traveling even as far south by car as County Cork) do not hesitate. Teach de Broc is the finest, and your memories of your stay will no doubt remain with you far after your visit with the Brocs is over. Thank you, Aoife, Seamus, the Broc family, and the entire Teach de Broc staff.

    • Liked — Each time I came through the door, I felt like I was "coming home." I looked forward to getting back to my 'base."
    • Disliked — Nothing at all to report that was negative. They can't control the weather! Although, after getting to know him somewhat, I'm sure Seamus Broc is working on it...

“Fantastic Four-Star Guesthouse in Ballybunion”

Teach de Broc

Jun 11, 2007

I have had the occasion of staying at Teach de Brock for many years when playing Ballybunion, and just recently returned from a trip at the end of April. Owners Aoife & Seamus just keep improving the place, which is saying something as it was near perfection to begin with! The rooms are spacious, well appointed with charming decor, and the addition of the new restaurant and bar is fantastic especially for visiting golfers to the area. The food was superb - we had one of the best meals here during our 12 day stay in Ireland! The chef & kitchen are all to be congratulated! And they have a wonderful wine list, as well as beers by bottle/on tap. We say here in the states location, location, location...and for golf at Ballybunion the location across the street from the club cannot be beat. But it is the fantastic atmosphere & "craic" (great times, good chat) that is the buzz here -- from the staff, owners Seamus & Aoife (have Seamus tell you a joke or two!) and guests that make a stay at Teach de Brock something very special indeed, something you just shouldn't miss!

“Golfers' paradise”

Teach de Broc

With as charming and welcoming a couple of hosts as Aiofe and Seamus we knew we could not go wrong. The rooms are large, modern and spacious. The main lounge and bar area comfortable and accommodating. The view over the practice driving area of the golf club is restful and interesting - and the golf club is all of 100 metres from the front door. Huge Irish breakfasts provided and good bistro food available in the evenings.
We are four male golfers who have been around many places and have never stayed in anywhere better than this very fine guest house.
