My first trip to Ireland was back in 1987. I was lucky enough to have a room booked at Bunratty and to meet the Brownes. What good fortune for me. The friendly atmosphere, the lovely rooms and cleanliness of the entire lodge make you so welcomed. Mary serves the most wonderful breakfast. You have so many choices it is hard to decide. She never denies you a second of anything listed. You are a very lucky traveler.

The accommodations are exceptional. The beds are beautifully made. Towels are always clean. You have a hard time finding any fault with the lovely Bunrattly Lodge. I love the walk down the road to the castle and across the road to the many shops.

Whenever I recommend this lodge and recommend I do, everyone comes back with such high praises. I have never had a problem when I ask for a recommendation in another area. We are all so lucky to have a place like Bunratty Lodge to rest our weary eyes after a trip across the Atlantic. I look forward to my stays whenever I come to Ireland.

We began and ended our week's stay in Ireland at Bunratty Lodge. It was, honestly, perfect. We were greeted warmly by Mary and shown to our immaculately clean rooms.
Our teens appreciated their own room with coffee/tea making service. The showers were hot and powerful. We took advantage of the breakfast the first morning, which was absolutely delicious and kept us energized till dinner. And, we appreciated not having to pay for breakfast the morning we left very early for the airport. This was our family's very first Bed and Breakfast experience and it most definately set a high standard. We would recommend staying at Bunratty Lodge and would surely return on another visit.

We received a very warm welcome and greatly enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient to Shannon airport, the rooms are very nicely furnished, and the sitting room and breakfast room are quite attractive. Also, the rates are very reasonable. Please note that credit cards are not accepted. Travelling with our son, we had a room with a double and a twin bed.

What can I say but that my wife and I had a great experience at Bunratty Lodge. Mary made us reservations for the castle banquet (fun, fun, fun!!). The room was comfortable and cleaner than a lot we stayed in around Ireland. She has awards on the wall for her breakfast and I can see why. The home baked bread is THE BEST. My wife had fruit and yogurt but I had to spring for the full Irish since it was my last day in the country. I liked having an option of either breakfast in the morning or a lower room rate without breakfast. I am sure happy I got my last Irish meal. Now it is back to toast and coffee and rush off to work. Thank you Mary for your hospitality, kindness and a breakfast to remember.
