“Special in Every Way!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

Too often photos are misleading and disappointing but in this case every detail was perfect! I felt like a princess in the beautifully decorated room with special touches too numerous to mention. Marie was so friendly and helpful she even arranged for lodging for us at our next stop. I felt like I had always known her. The breakfast was exceptional too! I would highly recommend Glenorney By The Sea to anyone looking for a very special experience in the Waterford/Tramore area.

by far the nicest b n b we have ever been in. marie and family could not of been nicer and were most helpful. rooms were fab food delish couldnt of asked for any more. the only thing that let us down was the weather!!! would def recommend a stay here for anybody young and old marie even caters for a large family with a fab family room. will def be staying here again. what made our stay more delightful was that the family were big racing fans n we were even able to give them a winner at the tramore racing festival!!!

What a wonderful time we had August Bank Holiday with Marie. From the minute we arrived till we left we were treated like old friends who came to visit. Marie thinks of everything, her house was spotless, her food was amazing. I cannot recommend Glenorey by the Sea enough. If your looking for a top rate B&B that goes the extra mile, then Glenorey is the place. The warm welcome you will get is second to none. You have to experience it to believe. I enjoyed my stay so much I have booked again for next year.

Room Tip: all rooms are top class

Anyone traveling from the north or east of Tramore should do so via the coastal village of Kilmore Quay; what a gem. Beautiful thatched cottages and lovely small harbour. We were fortunate to be able to see thatchers at work on a new cottage. From here travel via East Passage where the ferry will more than save you the cost of fuel if you are considering to go all the way by road . Tramore is a picturesque town however the economic downturn has greatly affected its prosperity and growth. Unfortunately we were there on a weekend which brought a considerable number of day trippers to the Amusement Park.. ok for younger brigade but not enticing for the oldies.
At Tramore we stayed at ‘Glenorney by the Sea’. Sea view from room immaculate, elegant, tastefully decorated, piano available, music at breakfast time, tea & coffee in room .Lovely gardens. Marie was the perfect attentive host. Her recommendation of the Victoria House for dinner was ‘spot on’; seafood pie accompanied by a nice Australian white whilst enjoying the view over the ocean.
After leaving Tramore we took the clearly signposted coastal route to Dungarvan, through Annetown, where the remains of the old castle style building sits near the beach. This was used to burn the limestone which was then used to make mortar. Traveling west it is recommended that you use the ferry at East Passage.
Whilst our next o/n stay was at Baltimore we visited Kinsale which is one of Irelands pretty villages.

Room Tip: The availability of drying room makes this accommodation excellent for golfing groups and you can re...

My friend and I stayed at Glenorney by the Sea March 20th, 2013 (review is long overdue). This was our first stop on our 10 day adventure and we were welcomed with open doors here. Our room was a great size for all of our luggage and shopping bags :) overlooking the beautiful front gardens. The beds were quite comfortable with beautiful linens for us to get a relaxing night sleep. The location is beautiful for walking down to the water and had beautiful views from the back windows of the bay. Marie made a delicious breakfast and was a joy to chat with. We only wish that we had planned on staying more than one night therefor we just may need to return in 2014.
