“Excellent Stay in a Prime Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2010

We spent 2 nights in Killerig House B&B, and what can i say only we truly had a lovely time. We could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and such friendliness we immediatly felt at ease. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and we were lucky to have a lovely view of the Sea from our room. We were right in the centre of tramore and with only a 5 min stroll to the beach and directly across from all the amenities it was perfect.
The staff were so helpful and advised us on places to go and see, also advised us on lovely restaurants to eat in. The breakfast on each morning was top class with plenty of selection. Would def. choose to stay here on our next visit to Tramore.

This was the first B&B that I've stayed in and was very apprehensive about the thought of staying in someone's house. This was located across the street from the entertainment area of Tramore and just two blocks from the restaurants & pubs. You can look at the ocean from the entrance and many of the rooms. Ours was in back so we didn't have a view but that was fine, it was quiet and we are out most of the time. One step inside and my fears were erased. This was like walking into a boutique hotel, and a great one at that. The owner Maria greeted us as we came in. Showed us the beautifully decorated breakfast room and totally updated place. She showed us to our room which was nicer than most hotel rooms with a very nice full bathroom and a shower that was fantastic. She gave us the keys and then advise on what to do and where to go while we visited. Thanks to her advise we saw things we would've never known about in and out of the town. We stayed two nights and it was a great start to our vacation. We saw her only at breakfast time each day. She served a great breakfast of sausage, bacon (canadian style), Irish puddings (no thank you), cereals and eggs along with juice, coffee and tea. I did like that all lodger's had their own tables. We hated leaving there because we had three more B&Bs to go and I didn't think any could match this one. They did, and I'm going to be writing reviews on them in a minute. Don't even hesitate to stay here. I live in Ballwin, Missouri, by the way. Oh, we don't gamble (other than rooms I guess) but there are casinos just a block away as is an amusement park. Parking was street parking but there was plenty available.

We stayed in Killerig house for two nights over the Easter weekend and loved every minute of it. Maria & John are great helpful hosts, they were happy to advise us on the best pubs & restaurants in Tramore and patiently answered all of our question about Tramore and its surroundings.

The house was beautifully decorated and situated in the heart of Tramore only 2 minutes walk from the beach. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely view over Tramore bay. The full Irish breakfast on both mornings was delicious.

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay! I'd recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone going to Tramore and will definitely stay there when we visit Tramore again.

The four of us went to Tramore for a birthday celebration and stayed in Killerig House B&B for 2 nights. Having chosen Tramore amusement park as our main celebration venue, we booked two rooms in this B&B due to its proximity to this park.

It turned out to be even better than hoped – bus stop from/to Waterford (traveling from Cork) is literally just across the street and the actual amusement park two minutes walk from B&B.

Our rooms were of sufficient size but one of them were not serviced properly – a bit of rubbish on the floor, only three sticks of coffee (no tea, sugar or milk) and no toilet paper or soap in bathroom. TV didn't seem to be working.

Our rooms were facing street which means we got rooms with sea view yet it was quiet during the night. More noise was coming from the mattress protector (I know they have to be there but there are also non-plastic protectors available) when tossing and turning during the night.

For breakfast we expected full Irish. All we got was two slices of bacon, two sausages and half-fried egg (no puddings, mushrooms or beans). Coffee, tea and orange juice, also selection of cereals available. We didn't try other breakfast options.

Other than few issues, weekend break was excellent, I would recommend this B&B for families or anybode if you want to enjoy the fun of theme park.
