“Ab fab!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012 via mobile

This was my second time to dine here and on each occasion the food excelled itself.

The room has a nice feel to it and the restaurant has ample parking to the rear, which is a major plus in Letterkenny. We were going to a play across the street in the Grianan theatre, so location couldn't be more strategic.

I am really looking forward to returning to thus restaurant for a nice long leisurely dining experience.

“delicious food and excellent service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

Enjoyed a delicious pre-theatre meal, quick service and great value for money. Food was very fresh, well presented and the house red wine went down well!
Will be back again soon to try out the a la carte menu.
A must visit when in Letterkenny.

“Decent food, poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

Food was very good, though the portions weren't massive for the price we were paying. Service, however, left a lot to be desired. Were waiting on age on every course, and weren't once checked on throughout. Our 3 water jugs were emptied rather soonish (due to the wait and there was 8 of us), but not once was it checked out that we could use some more. Had to get the attention of a waitress to fill up for us. None of these are major things, but put together, they amounted to really below-par service.

“OVER-RATED”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

It was a Sunday evening, there were 2 front of house girls supposed to be working, one however preferred to sit with guests and leave the work to the other member of staff who was tired and irritated.
Our food took an age to arrive and when my main course of chicken korma and basmati rice arrived, the rice could have easily been creamed rice it was a congealed bowl of stodge. The "working" member of staff took it back and offered a replacement but life is too short to wait that long.
A disappointing experience

“Not good value for money.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

Such a pity. Its no wonder people complain about 'rip off Ireland'. We ate in Sargasso for an early-bird meal. Ordered risotto, ghoulash, two glasses of wine. The portion of risotto was literally palm-sized, it was tiny. Meal came to.... 39 EURO!! Although, in fairness it was tasty and the waitress was friendly, we left still hungy and felt ripped off. Not good enough.
