“Great B&B to explore the West of Ireland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Oranhill Lodge is an excellent B&B near Galway (approx. 15 minutes drive). The B&B owner are very welcoming and helpful if you need a travel advice. The rooms are nicely decorated and tidy, only the mattress was a little too soft for us. The breakfast was really one of the best we got on our journey. They have a lovely menue where you can order delicious Full Irish Breakfast, pancakes and so on. And Oranhill Lodge is perfectly situated to explore the beautiful West of Ireland.

We were met in the driveway by the owner the minute we pulled in and were immediately shown around and taken to our rooms. The house and the rooms are spotless and the breakfast was great. The location was easy to find and it was very reasonably priced. Definitely stay here if you are in the area!!

The Bed and Breakfast is very tastefully decorated. The rooms are very clean and have modern conveniences. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our stay. Would recommend a stay here.

Room Tip: This is a great place to stay when looking to experience a small village in Ireland.

On a recent holiday in Ireland we stayed one night here on our way to Killarney. Had we realised how good it was we would have stayed longer. It is a beautiful house and immaculate in every detail. The family who run it are delightful, friendly and can't do enough for you. The breakfast was really excellent, in fact we just can't fault it. We will definitely be going back. It is ideal for visiting Galway, Galway Bay and The Burren - all of which are fantastic holiday destinations. It was our first visit to Ireland and despite changeable weather we really enjoyed it.

We spent two wonderful nights at the Oranhill Lodge in Oranmore near Galway. It is very modern with all the traditional features of a classic B&B. Michael & Anne were the consummate hosts, always available with good advice on the sights and sounds of Galway. We had a queen ensuite room. The bathroom had spectacular tiles with a walk-in shower with plenty of room. The breakfasts were exquisite with a variety of choices including a full Irish, pancakes, French Toast etc. for us it's the people you meet in life that can make your holiday even more special. Michael & Anne certainly did this. We will recommend them to anyone heading to the West Coast I Ireland!!

I recently traveled around Ireland with a few of my girlfriends. We stayed at Oranhill and loved our experience. Michael was very helpful for our future travel plans, the rooms and beds were wonderful, and Ann is a fantastic cook! I would recommend this to anyone!
