We had the most wonderful time at the Dundrum House. We stayed in "room number 1" which was the best room in the house! Decorated in mauve and dark wood, it had a great view of the grounds, and was most comfortable. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Forget about all the talk that Ireland has bad food; meals at the Dundrum House hotel are on par with the best continental type restaurants we have been to. And the golf course! It was beautiful, and hard enough to be challenging but not all hilly and heathery like Lahinch or Ballybunnion. Austin and Mary Crowe and family have done a remarkable job with this gem. I recommend it to everyone I talk to who is going to Ireland. And its just a short drive from the Rock of Cashel, probably my favorite spot in Ireland.
