Had a lunch in Cafe Hans with my friends while on a trip to Rock of Cashel. You can't miss to have a meal in this lovely place. Staff is extremely friendly and professional. Meals are delicious and well valued as well. 5 stars!

“A sandwich for lunch.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

These people know about food. They can assemble very good basic ingredients and produce nothing short of a masterpiece in flavour and texture. I have yet to be disappointed in this restaurant. This is what attention to detail means. Even something as basic as a fresh slice of freshly cut lemon in the glass of water.

“Worth the wait”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Had lunch here today with my sister, would definitely recommend it. My sister opted for 2 course set lunch menu for 14 Euro and really liked the mussels and chocolate tart. I had the spicy lamb burger and really enjoyed it. Due to its popularity one must often wait for a table but persevere as you won't regret it.

“Don't miss this cafe!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

I'm embarrassed to say that I had lunch in this cafe every day but one in the four days I was in Cashel (the food was so amazingly good that I couldn't keep away!) and on the other day I booked for dinner in the Cafe Hans restaurant next door (which is in the most incredibly atmospheric church, complete with stained glass windows etc). In both, the food was simply stunning and faultless; fresh, well thought out, modern, interesting, innovative without being silly, beautifully prepared and presented. The cafe was full to bursting every day - not surprising given the quality of the food, and the cafe had a great atmosphere and vibe. It was superb value too. Dinner at the restaurant was obviously more expensive, but the atmosphere in the church made it such a treat and memorable experience that I'd have paid twice as much. I'd particularly like to mention the staff in both the cafe and the restaurant. The cafe staff were so friendly, incredibly efficient given how busy it was, they welcomed me as a solo diner and I never felt rushed. It really 'made' my trip to Cashel.

“Place to stop in the centre of Ireland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

We stopped here recently for lunch to break up the drive to from Dublin to Kerry. The place was really busy and we had to wait for about 30 minutes for a table. We learned that this was a result of its popularity.

The food was really good and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed but professional. They were able to meet our needs with minimal fuss.

It is expensive so you wouldn't eat here every day, but good for an occasion. Give yourself extra time to get a table and to enjoy the food
