“Restful Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2012

This hotel is a gem set in a country area but only ten minutes walk away from the town centre where there is a variety of shops and restaurants. It is well placed for driving and exploring the countryside and the coastal areas. The rooms are large, well maintained and very comfortable. The public areas have an olde world charm and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is on the large side, freshly cooked and of excellent quality. A very restful retreat!

Room Tip: If you want to come and go late at night, without disturbing anyone, ask for an annexe room. This a...

I stayed at this hotel for work but would gladly stay here for pleasure. I love old hotels with character and individuality, so if this is your type of place, you'll be in heaven!
The trip started badly as I arrived on a Monday, after 9pm, and had a frantic search for somewhere to eat (the chap on reception was not too helpful..but I later found out that he was just helping out). Thankfully the hotel is just across the river from the town, so walked in and found an Indian takeaway...(so make sure you arrive before 9pm).
The room I had the pleasure of staying in, was made up in crisp white bedlinen, was spacious and had antique furniture. It had a lovely bathroom, and the whole room had a very solid feel.
Breakfast was plentiful and friendly, and I had the pleasure of a fantastic evening meal at the hotel with some good wine, which was well priced, for Ireland.

Room Tip: The old building has larger rooms

Just back from a two night stay in this little gem. Travelled with a group of golf buddies. Cosy bar, lovely rooms, comfy beds, outstanding food.
We'll never stay anywhere else again when visiting Clonmel. A special word of thanks to Tina. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and marked our card for us on the best pubs to visit in town. She was spot on!
Keep doing what you're doing Raheen House. You've got a winning formula. Thanks again,
Finbarr Cotter, Cork.

We had a great visit to the Raheen House. Our room was huge and breakfast was delicious. We only spent one night in Clonmel but the accomodations were great. We got there during a rather large rain storm and some of the electric went out. It did not effect our visit at all. We had a great visit.

Room Tip: Room 23 was impressive.

Stayed here for 4 nights, whilst working in Clonmel. Clean, quite and well run old style hotel. The rooms vary from large victorian style to average size in the newer block, all a nicely furnished and well maintained. The staff are very pleasant and helpfull. The breakfast was a standard choice, but was of a high quility. We did not have an evening meal, but it appears to by popular with the locals.
We got B&B in a single room €35 per night. GREAT VALUE
Will stay again when in the area.

We were there as a group of hill walkers, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Everybody thought that the food was really exceptional for the price, and the rooms good, with plenty fo space. We would all return and I would recommend ir strongly
