Myself and my husband stayed there for one night. Found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. All drinks 3 euros on the night. Overall I would recommend it.

Room Tip: away from the bars and nightclub.

I stayed in the imperial for 8 nights while on a work trip recently, anyone planning a visit should keep the following few points in mind,
Rooms are clean and basic, unlike some of the other reviewers I found the staff quite friendly and the breakfast quite good.
On the negative side there was no Wii fi available, the tv in the room was not working and the hotel needs a lot of modernisation
* noise level is a problem as the hotel is bang in the middle of town *
There is more expensive accommodation available in the area which would be of a higher standard if that's what your after.
Hope this is of some help..........

A basic hotel with clean rooms & comfy enough beds... but very noisy at the weekend due to the downstairs bar.
Unfortunately some younger guests were very rowdy, belligerent and we had to call security twice.

Room Tip: Not somewhere to stay for a quiet weekend, but brilliant atmosphere in the bar.

Stayed on a business trip, first mistake, room right above a nightclub , arrrrgh
Got to sleep at 4am first night
2 nd night street cleaners at 2 am
3 rd night keg collection from all pubs.

Rooms too hot, but you can't open your window because of the noise.
Rooms are very poorly maintained
Staff were good
Breakfast service terrible as there is only one member of staff
Parking is on waste ground over the road
Hair dryer wired to wall no good if your of normal height
TV shockingly bad only 3 channels in our first room , 5 in the second an they are meant to have cable

The main enterance is tucked away in a side street. Parking is limited. Room is average for a hotel. Had to wait OVER 5 minutes for the hot water to have a shower.
The room was "well lived in", its in need of a make over.
Didn't eat there, only had breakfast which was good. Better hotels in the area.

Stayed here for one night and it was awful. I arrived at 9:30pm and was greeted by a receptionist with the worst manners in the world. I went to my room using a lift which my feet stuck to with the amount of dirt on the carpet. Room was clean however kettle was really dirty. Went downstairs to use the Internet and was told it was only free for the first 10 minutes and even to get that I would need to text for codes. Did not sleep well as noise from outside all night. Breakfast was awful, I wouldn't have feed it to a dog. Couldn't wait to get out. Do yourself a favour don't stay In this dump.

Room Tip: Take a room in another hotel is the best advice
