When I read through the reviews I think I may be in the minority in my experiences. We travelled from Dublin in November on a Saturday with another couple it was an on-line deal. We arrived at about four and went to our rooms which looked fine dropped our bags and went for a drink. This is were my issues started a small glass of wine cost 6.80 well over priced. We then went down to the restaurant to look for a menu and were told the menu wasn't ready yet and to come back in 20 minutes which we did but the reception we got was less than friendly. We did dine in the restaurant and the food was nice. At about 11 we went to our rooms our friends room was freezing and they just couldn't stay in it. When they rang reception a man came up and apologised and moved them to another room which was just as cold but the man provided a heater but what topped it off was the ten dead flies sitting on the inside of the balcony door which we presumed died from the cold. Our friends stayed in the room but didn't sleep much. The next morning we met for breakfast which was lovely but our friends were a little tired from there experiences. They complained at reception and showed them pictures of the dead flies. The manager sat them down and said how sorry she was and would give them a free lunch. In my opinion when your hard earned night away is ruined by the hotel I think a complete refund or a free night would have been more like it. I am attending a wedding in the hotel in the summer and will not be wasting my money on staying in this hotel.
