“Can't handle complaints”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

We are local to the area and have dined at Casey's on numerous occasions. This weekend we had my brother-in-law and family over to stay and went for lunch. 3 of the party of 7 opted for the steak (by far the most expensive choice) and all 3 were cooked differently (from med-rare to med-well done). Sadly, the quality of meat was a disappointment for all, sinewy, gristly and lacking in flavour. When we brought this to the attention of the staff they really didn't know what to do and asked us what we thought they should do! Eventually they gave free desserts and said that someone (presumably the manager or chef) would come and talk to us. No-one ever came and the free desserts were, based on past experience, half portions or less, the 2 cheese boards had 3 types of cheese that would hardly have covered a cracker. We all agreed that if they had responded by at least taking the steak off the bill we may have been tempted back. Now we are left with bad meat, badly handled and bad memories.

I stayed at Caseys a few weeks ago as part of a small group and I must say they couldn't have been more accommodating. The hotel is a medium sized, family run hotel, right in the centre of Glengariff. It is in perfect proximity to the other local pubs and restaurants, and the walking trails. Service in the bar was quick and friendly and the food was great. The staff seemed to know almost every customer that walked through the door and the hotel seems to have a huge repeat custom (ALWAYS a good sign!). As someone who works in the industry myself I know the challenges of running a good hotel but Donal, Eileen, and Eoin have it down to a science!. Overall a great hotel and the picture of good old Irish hospitality. I can guarantee we will be back!

Just came back from a trip to Glengarriff and satyed in Caseys. From the minute we arrived we were spoilt! It is a family run hotel and has a homely, welcoming feel! Everyone was very friendly there! When we went to the rooms we found our huge spacious room, overlooking the garden. The rooms had been recently refurbished with no expense spared. The bathrooms are beautiful and nice comfy beds.
We also had dinner which was very tasty and so reasonably priced! Our compliments to the chef :-)
It's the only place I'll ever stay when I'm down that neck of the woods! Thanks to the Deasy family!

Room Tip: Just go there! We had a few rooms, all were fantastic!

We stayed here, my mum, myself and our little Jack Russell x! The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and lovely and warm. Having eaten at the restaurant in Casey's for many years we decided to see if the Hotel was as good as the restaurant. We weren't disappointed. We had a booking for B&B and evening meal at a very good price. Mum who is recovering from major stomach surgery wouldn't have been able to eat the meal at the one sitting so it was no trouble for the staff to allow her to eat half the meal at lunch and half at teatime. This took a lot of pressure off her and she and I had a most memorable few days here. Lovely staff, friendly and extremely helpful. What more could you wish for when on holidays? Will definitely go again.

Room Tip: As they allow well behaved pets, I informed them that I may be bringing my dog. I think that this he...

My husband and myself have stayed in Glengarriff over the last 10 years and love it. We always stay in Caseys unless booked out We first stayed when we were just married and now we bring our 2 kids. A 1 year old and 3 year old. We find Donal and his staff and family to be very friendly and accomadating. A very clean and homely hotel. The food is always lovely and the staff are always very obliging when we need smaller portions or just something simple for our 3 year old who is a picky eater. Unlike the hotel across the road who could not give us a slice of bread when we asked because it was not on the menu!! We would highly recommend Caseys and they have rooms to accomadate all.

Room Tip: Book a large room if you have kids

this hotel is an insult to the hospitality industry thats all you need to know about it really. Greasy, over priced slop food,im never seen a layer of grease as big as did on my lasagna and my partners chicken was over cooked and stringy. So for your own good stay out and go across the road........

Just as the title says the place was empty and we expected the staff to be more attentive since there were no other customers. We decided against staying here after walking in off the street.
