“Nearly missed out! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2014

Was in Athlone for a weekend break and on Sunday round midday went in search of brekkie. Walked by and thought it was more of a coffee and cake place. Only spotted a daily specials board on the way back. The other place we sought out was closed so we headed back. We were more than happy we did. The breakfast was really great, the full Irish and plenty of it. Great homemade brown bread. Also it's great to see a veggie breakkie on a menu without having to ask what they can do. Coffee and tea was all served in China cups which is a nice touch. Very friendly service. Great experience all round.

“Fresh Tasty Quality Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2014

I was in Athlone for the weekend and I was looking for a healthy dinner made with fresh ingredients (which is not always an easy find). I was delighted when I saw the menu on the blackboard outside the door as there were 4 main dishes. I love menus with only a few dishes as it means the food is probably fresh. Not only was it fresh, but really tasty as well. I had a beef casserole and my husband had the curry. We also had a chocolate brownie which was lovely and moist. The prices were very reasonable and upstairs the decor was really cozy. It was set up like a living room with really cute wallpaper and lamps. Also there was a lot of space between the tables which is great.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2014

After a night on the town with four of my lady friends and a little worse for wear we Walked into cafe looking for a good fry up cure, however we had missed breakfast time and it was lunch time. The cafe was busy and the food on the counter looked great, we asked was it possible to get 5 fry ups and without hesitation staff said no problem, we were delighted and found their customer service refreshingly good!!!! Breakfast as great!!!! Wouls really recommend this cafe!!!

“Great food, great atmosphere.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2014 via mobile

Having walked from the castle with a hungry two year old, this cafe was a very welcome relief. Excellent food from excellent produce and a busy lunch atmosphere that entertained a nosey child. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the value for money was second to none.
