Stayed here for a night during the mid term, the directions on the website were perfect and we found the hotel very easily. There was loads of parking and the cost is validated at end of stay so its free to park for the duration. Initially the layout is kind of confusing with the hotel and shopping centre sharing carpark and lifts but it is easy enough to get the hang of after a while. Our check in was swift, our room was clean, nicely decorated and we had a nice view. The bathroom was lovely and the shower was amazing. We had a delicious breakfast this morning and have to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I had already reserved rooms here for next year for my sisters hen party, I am delighted that I have booked such a lovely hotel and I know that we will enjoy that stay too.

We are just back from a two night break in the Sheraton Athlone. We just couldnt find anything negative to say about this hotel. The location was perfect and had free parking. Our room was just lovely and was on the 10th floor of the tower so it was very quiet and relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle of this very busy hotel.
Both mornings for breakfast were very busy but we were seated very quickly and found everything we needed easily. The continental buffet on first glance seemed like a small selection but on closer inspection it had everything you would need. The hot buffet was self service but everything was hot and was being re-plenished frequently.
We recieved a complementary newspaper each morning which was a nice touch.
We have decided that we would love to return to this hotel again and we are already planning a break there in the new year. Well done to all the team and we will see you again soon

Room Tip: Rooms in the tower are adult only which made for a very relaxing stay.

Myself and my daughter on an impulse while having an evening meal in the hotels bar restaurant
this weekend decided suddenly to stay overnight and treat ourselves. Having been shopping all day in the shopping centre adjacent to the hotel we headed to our room for a rest. the room was really lovely, modern spotless and comfortable. Bathroom has separate bath and shower which i love. I cant fault anything. Olivia in reception phoned the room about 10 minutes after we checked in to check everything was alright which was nice. The bar food so fresh and desserts delicious. Service and staff manners are impeccable. Probably one of the best I've encountered. Had lovely breakfast before heading home, and complimentary parking as I had my car all day in the shopping centre the day before, and for all day if i wished when checking out so we didnt have to rush. Athlone is only 30 mins drive from home but I will treat myself to this again. Loved it.

just back after a one night stay away with a few friends. Hotel was very easy to find and parking too. Reception staff very friendly and helpful on arriving. We had some lovely lunch in the lounge and the hard working staff were very attentive, it was quite busy when we arrived but they managed very well. Rooms were really lovely, I have stayed in many 4 star hotels but I have to say the room was one of the best, very clean and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, plenty of options and again staff and manager excellent. I will definitly be a back!

This hotel is centrally located if you want to spend a few days driving to different areas of Ireland. The facilities are great, heated pool, spa, jacuzzis etc. Once you figure out the elevators it is easy to navigate around the hotel. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall and located in downtown Athlone. A nice town with friendly people. Day trips by car to Westport and Mayo County and another to the two distilleries to learn how Irish whiskey is made. All in all this hotel is great.

Just back from a two night stay with my husband.it was our 25th anniversary and we were looking for a nice hotel with a bit of luxury and we defiantly got it here.i had looked up trip adviser to get feed back on this hotel and am delighted to say all the positive comments are true, we stayed in the tower room 462 with a fab view.room are big ,beds are big and comfy . Bathrooms are lovely too,and it is so quite and peaceful. They give you dressing gowns and slippers which are a nice touch. Our lovely daughter had organised chocolate strawberries and champaign to be delivered to our room and they were there when we arrived with a card from her and one from the hotel wishing us a happy 25th anniversary .so we chilled out after a long drive drinking and eating our gifts looking out at the wonderful view.we had dinner that night in hotel as it was part of the two night deal .the food was excellent with lots of different flavours to tantalise your palate .the staff bought us desert and on the plate was happy 25th anniversary written on the plate and a candle in our desert for us to blow out ,what a nice touch .reservations must have told them when we made our dinner booking .we both used the spa o my god it is amazing I have never been to one like it. There are so many different areas in it .it is so big .i got a facial and my husband got a back massage they both cost us 30 euros each a deal the hotel will give you when you book with them .they were fab ,we felt so good after them and so relaxed.we stayed in the hotel bar the first night there was a man singing he was very good and had a lot of people up dancing.we went to a pub the next day called Sean's ,they say it's the oldest pub in Ireland .we had a great time listening to the local men slag each other it was great crack. For a vodka and a bottle of coke it's only 5euro .we went to kens Chinese restaurant the next night it's only a sort walk from hotel ,food was lovely.over all I can't recommend this hotel enough it is a little more expensive than what I would normally pay it was 179.00 each including one dinner and two b&bs and 30each for spas but so worth every Euro..we just want to say to the staff and management thank you all for giving us lovely happy memories of our 25th anniversary

Room Tip: Ask for the tower with a nice view
