“O Sole o me o”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

on a day so windy that the seals didnt even pop their heads above water, we dined on scallops in a simple mildly garlic juice with chunky brown bread, to die for. Followed by lemon sole so fresh that
it could have just leapt out of the sea opposite and landed on the pan. Accompanied by a plain old 'ornery salad' it was delicious with the cool crisp glass of Pinot Grigio. No more. Enough to bring us back to this small friendly Tapas Bar. But beware the powers in charge of the pier are trying to impose parking charges. We will resist.

“A nice surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Went to Howth on the recommendation of our hotel. We had never read about it before but what a great surprise. A nice little waterfront community with free parking. A working harbor with commercial fishing vessels and pleasure craft in a stone wall fortified harbor. Harbor seals are delightful to watch. MANY small restaurants. We chose this place which served tapas versions of many types of fish. Food is prepared almost in front of you. We had shrimp and crab in garlic butter sauce. Advice, order the extra bread for dipping in the remainder of the sauce wiht your order. You will use it. The food was great, the sauce was just as good. Very low key atmosphere. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and kept trying the different menu items. All came out perfect and delicious. After our meal we walked around, took pictures. Great evening which started with the meal.

“A real fish quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

I went there for a Saturday lunch, it was all perfect you need just to go there at 12 if you want to find easily a table, the restaurant is not very big. The quality of food, the service and the atmosphere were amazing. In this little restaurant before to enjoy a beautiful walk on the cliffs of howth you can really enjoy a plate of real fresh food!

“mixed feelings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

the staff here were great, did there jobs very well and friendly with out being in your face. the food was all nicely cooked, no complaints but think the menus need to be rethought. dishes very similar so when in a big group sharing tapas there should be more diversety. very snug so go with good freinds!
