“Wedding overnight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

We recently stayed following a friends wedding and the meal and service were excellent. The room was very spacious and the bathroom modern and classy while we didn't get much benefit of the room habit stayed late at the function we were delighted that we could order breakfast to the room, staff apologised for the delay with breakfast but I was just delighted to get any at 10am (even in the restaurant it finishes at that time , a little early I thought) The leisure centre was poorly signed but well worth the search and the swim lane to the side was an added bonus, made for a good start after a late night.

A cute manor style property facing the seaside.

Was here for 1 night to attend a wedding reception. Staff were very polite and helpful.

A good size room with a double bed and a single bed. I found the beds too soft. The bathroom was a bit dated but clean and well done up.

There is complimentary wifi in the rooms and lobby etc.

One niggle was breakfast. I found for 10 euros, the breakfast was rather limited, especially if you are vegetarian.

I would certainly recommend this hotel.

I stayed for one night and the staff and food were both excellant . The bedroom could have been more welcoming but on the whole a lovely stay .the area itself is very relaxing and for me is best for a short stay with the lovely town of ballycotton only a few miles away

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and it was very nice. The family room was lovey and bright and big. We paid extra for a sea view which was lovely. The only thing was I did not find the beds very comfortable. The pillows were hard and the duvet not great. Apart from that it was fine.
We ate in the bar and that was a good standard and quick which is good with a 2.5 year old. Breakfast was very good. Hotel is in a lovey position as it is right on the beach.
I would recommend it and would go back. The staff were all very helful.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a sea view

We had one of 10 rooms with a balcony at the front of the hotel which overlooks a beautiful beach. The room was modern, large and clean with a large comfortable queen bed and a single bed as well. The room had all of the amenities except for a safe. The bathroom was bright, clean and well equipped with a tub/shower. They have several pools. A swimming pool, a jogging pool and a lap pool with an outdoor hotub. Excellent dinner in the pub and a very good hot/cold breakfast in the restaurant. Plenty of lounge areas looking out to the sea available for relaxation.

Room Tip: The hotel needs to sign post on the N25. Easiest way to get there is south from the N25 on the R632...

Our overnight stay at the four star Garryvoe Hotel was an excellent choice recently.
Nestled on the beautifull shoreline overlooking Ballycotton Bay and the Historic Lighthouse, this was a superb haven for our one night treat, (my daughter and I.)
On check in- the Receptionist Tracy was welcomming and efficient in handling our reservation as there was a slight mix up, an oversight on the phone booking us into their sister hotel in nearby Ballycotton. However Tracy gracefully contacted the other Hotel to sort it out, as she couldn't find our reservation on her system and offered us a good rate and lovely room.
Later in the evening.
We enjoyed a delicious fish dish from the extensive evening menu in the athmostpheric Bar. Soft lighting and and a very nice waiter Mark added to our excellent service.

We asked Mark what he would reccommend, He said the ''fish was fresh'' and he was right! so right - that we could taste the seaweed from the fish. A large appetizing serving of crispy fries , mushy peas and freshly made tarter sauce topped with a jucy wedge of lemon perfectly married the dish together.
After a stroll on the beach outside the Hotel we ordered a bottle or Merlot and retired to the upstairs seating area to savour the setting sun slowely slide beyond the horizon, shadowing the incomming tide.
The bedroom was clean and comfy. and offered us a peacefull and refreshing nights sleep.

Breakfast was served with fresh fruit juice and a selection of cereal with the option of a cooked Irish Breakfast of our choice. Gleaming pots of coffee and tea was the trade mark of a well presented breakfast.
Crispy white table-cloths and polished cutlery enhanced our dining experience, the waitress was plesant and accommodating to all the early morning breakfast guests.

We left with a sweet taste for a return trip to Garryvoe Hotel in the not too distant future. This family run hotel is a prime example of Good management, professional staff and Good Guest Relations, and the location is superb.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room when booking, and sample the Delicious fresh Con 'n' chips.

We stayed here for a wedding and we liked it so much, we added an extra night to our 3- night + 1 dinner deal. It was tremendous value. This is a real gem of a hotel with friendly staff, great facilities and the most wonderful views.

Room Tip: 2nd floor rooms with sea view are light and airy
