“Friendly Hotel with great food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Casey's has grown from a roadside pub into a modern hotel without loosing any of its charm. The enthusiasm of the owners permeates down through the staff - to give the customer a great experience!
The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The hotel is in a great location in the fantastic town of Baltimore with a great view over Church Strand.

The perfect venue for 'The Gathering'. An excellent family run hotel where everyone goes beyond the call of duty to make their guests feel at home and welcome.
Add to this top quality food in both bar and restaurant, breathtaking views, 5 star quality bedrooms and great atmosphere.
We're counting the days until we return at Easter !
Top Tip: Ask Dominic to get the darts out.
A big thank you the all the Casey's and their wonderful staff for a brilliant New Years Celebration.

Room Tip: Ask for Sea View if available.

We stayed here for a Saturday night on a B&B deal. It was well worth the money and the long drive from Dublin. The room was huge and looked out over a ruined church and the bay in the distance. Furnishings were fine with plenty of chairs and tables to put things on, and a desk for the laptop (free wifi throughout the hotel). The bathroom was perfectly adequate with good quality toiletries. They also gave us complimentary coffee and scones on arrival, a nice touch. We had dinner in the bar, which was fine, good selection of bar food. There was also a proper restaurant available next door, where we had a good breakfast the next morning. Altogether a very pleasant stay, apart from a grumpy and brusque man in the morning when I went to pay. It would've been 5 stars if he'd been more pleasant. Otherwise, a perfect stay, wish we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: Get a room on the top floor to avoid the noise of people overhead.

We decided to take a long promised break in West Cork and selected Caseys based on the great reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not dissappointed in any way. Pleasant family run Hotel. Large spacious and comfortable rooms. Top quality food with excellent service. Friendly management and staff who "go the extra mile" to be helpful Great location to see the best of West Cork and the Islands. Fantastic views from our bedroom window. We look forward to our next visit.

We could not have had a better wedding than at the Casey’s. We did not want a large venue as the wedding party was quite small and we wanted to feel at home. This is why we chose Casey’s of Baltimore and they delivered on every aspects – from the organization to the decoration and all the small details that make the difference. The food is very good and all the guests were really pleased with their stay (and believe me, pleasing 40 French guests is not easy :-P). This is the perfect place for a charming intimate celebration and I cannot recommend it enough. They can accommodate larger groups as well.

We planned to stay in Baltimore for one night, 24th Sept before going out to Cape Clear Island for a few days. We looked at a few places in the village but werent impressed. We then went to Casey's and as it was getting late we had to take a chance on it. Well, what a find, we had a lovely room, warm and spotlessly clean. The bar was welcoming and we had an excellent seafood meal. After a liesurely breakfast and long chat with the owners, who were really nice, we left for Cape Clear. We will definitely stat here again-we have stayed in hotels all over the south west of Ireland and this is a real gem Jim and Geraldine, Cookstown , Co Tyrone.

Room Tip: sk for a seafront.

Dear Casey's of Baltimore

I wanted to take the time to write to you and thank you so much for the experience we had at the hotel for our Wedding, i could write so much but just want to highlight some of the stand out things.

To start with - Valerie she could not have been more helpful to us for the planning over the past year, nothing was ever a problem & any questions i had she responded so fast and made the experience of organizing the wedding reception such a pleasure & so enjoyable.

Casey's is such a fantastic location for a wedding - it was exactly what we were looking for in our wedding - beautiful setting, so intimate, romantic & charming & away from the norm of a function room style wedding.
- our guests were blown away by how pretty the setting was and how homely & welcome everyone felt down there - i think you may have many return visitors….

Myself and my bridesmaids stayed down the night before the wedding and the rooms we got were perfect, loads of space and we had rooms that were connecting we were so happy also Dominic was so helpful on arrival with our bags & the many boxes of props i had & anything we needed the next morning while getting ready for the wedding was no problem, we especially like the bacon butties we got in the room ;)

The food in your hotel is some of the best i have had - we ate in the bar the night before the wedding and it was so delicious, the most delicious fish & chips i have ever had…..
As for the wedding day, we had many compliments from our guests on the canapés & the mini scones, they went down a treat on return from the church. The dinner itself was fantastic every single course was gorgeous so fresh & delicious.

This really is an excellent family run Hotel with such friendly & accommodating staff - amazing & delicious locally sourced food in one of the most beautiful settings in West Cork - I cant wait to return which hopefully will be very soon.
