“All in one package for anglers”

Great package for anglers, top quality boats, top quality accommodation & with Kevin Murphy a very special host. Our 4th trip here & better than ever, great big breakfast, comfortable rooms & great location. You don't have to fish though to enjoy your stay but give it a go & you'll be hooked

Bella vista was a very accommodating hotel with huge rooms and a beautiful view of the ocean. However, be aware that it is up a huge hill and a bit out of the way. But overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in cobh. You will not regret it!

i found the place while googling en route to cobh but the map i had found on the internet brought us to what looked like a derelict shop with a sign for self catering accomodation in the window - very confusing. when i called the number i got through to the hotel and eventually found the place.
we arrived on a saturday night, and stayed on a room only basis. we were told on the phone they had a restaurant - but what they neglected to mention was that it was just chinese food. we were tired and couldn't be bothered navigating the hills to find somewhere else, so we had a few starters served in the lounge, and i have to say it was bad chinese food and ridiculously overpriced.
the hotel itself is old, and while you expect some charm and character from an old building, you don't expect your belongings to roll off the bedside locker because the floors are so crooked! my engineer and builder husband is convinced that the floor will have collapsed within a year.
the staff we encountered were friendly enough. if you're looking for a budget hotel in cobh and everywhere else is full, this is yer place. just leave your expensive camera on the floor and not on the bedside locker, for safety.... ;-)

This yellow gem on the hill is over the top! The Bella Vista offers old-fashioned hospitality. Catherine at the front desk represents Mr. Murphy's place well. Rooms are basic, however, clean and spacious while offering spectacular views of Cobh and it's striking cathederal. The breakfast and chinese resturant on site offer up good eats. The hotel bar is cozy and offers great night caps of Bailey's on ice etc. :)
This was my first visit to Ireland (thanks to my cousins) I will be back some day. Be mindful of the cathederal bells that chime on the hour if you come in late from your pub crawl. hahahaa.

Room Tip: Attic room- great views and nice tub

We stayed at Bella Vista for 2 nights after easter. As it was quiet we were upgraded to a suite in a separate building right next to the main hotel. Amazing view over the harbour and cathedral! It was a lovely home from home with everything we needed for self-catering. We ate in the chinese restaurant the first night as it was easter monday and everywhere in town was closed. It was very nice, all freshly cooked and served by polite friendly staff. Breakfast was also in the restaurant and we were spoiled for choice. No complaints at all.

Before arriving at Cobh from Killlarney, we visited Blarney Castle and i fell over :( the hotel has a laundry service and reception took care of my mucky jeans. They were only 5.50 euro's to be cleaned - i handed in at 6pm-ish and they were back the next morning!

The staff are very helpful and friendly, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I would also recommend the restaurant Gilbert's - gorgeous food and lovely staff, we had the great value earlybird menu!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bellavista. When reception staff have you laughing before you've even checked into your room, any short comings in terms of luxury can be forgiven. We booked into one of the hotels suites which I'd describe as quirky with its huge period paintings, high ceilings, faded fabrics and canopy, a little was like walking into a room in Bunratty Castle. The room had a separate modern kitchen and dining room with balcony with seaviews. Beds were comfortable and room was very cosy. Unfortunately we didn't make it to the small bar but sounded like a lot fun as we passed. This hotel has to be appreciated for what it is. Its everything a Zombie hotel is not with reasonable prices. The faded decadence, warm Irish welcome, fabulous views over looking Cobh harbour I'd highly recommend the Bellavista Hotel.

We had a fantastic 3 nights at Bella Vista. The hotel is conveniently located, and the views are spectacular. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A friend's luggage did not arrive from Amsterdam - and they spent hours on the phone trying to locate it. Great service. If we're back in Cobh - we'll stay here for sure.
