“If you have time, stop here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

We weren't heading to Cobh originally in our plans but made an unexpected stay overnight here and loved this experience. Lots to read, so the time you stay here can be as long as you like.

“Queenstown's part in the Titanic story”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

Thoroughly enjoyed this snapshot of Cobh's link to the Titanic story. Maybe more could have been made of the walk through experiences but still worth the tour. The personal stories really come to life in the exhibit and how tragically all the events conspired to sink the biggest Liner of it's time. The souvenir shop acts as a good "departure lounge" before the tour and you will find something for everyone there.

“Interesting Titanic Exhibit in Cobh, Ireland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

We didn't really plan on visiting this exhibit, but it was very cold, so opted to kill an hour. Turns out we all thoroughly (4 adults & 2 kids) enjoyed this exhibit. It had something for everyone and hit the unknown highlights from the perspective of those traveling in the lower class of the Titanic. Standing outside where the passengers waited to load onto the tenders was a real experience, getting to see what it looked like from the life boats and then viewing the types of cabins. Of course being assigned a person as your ticket and waiting until the end to see if you survived kept everyone interested. This is not high end, but for a "not in your face boring history" experience, it's worth the visit.

“The last place Titanic stopped on its way to history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Most Titanic history is told from the Belfast shipyards or the English aristocracy who took the fateful trip. But, little is known of the Irish who joined the Titanic at the last sot or the worker who had a premonition and got off the ship at Southampton/Cobh. This is a wonderful exhibit unlike others I've experienced and a very unique aspect to Titanic history. If you love history, or just fateful stories, make this a stop on your visit!

“Titanic Experience, Cobh, Ireland -- Way Overpriced, Okay at Best”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

If you have an extra day in Cork, the 30 minute train ride to Cobh is worth a visit, but the Titanic Experience is not. The Titanic experience consists of two parts: first, a walk through 2 or 3 rooms with stopping points, where you'll hear a short loudspeaker commentary, and either a picture, or a view. Then a simple slide show in a room with wooden benches lacking any back support. Part two of your experience is a two room exhibition which features a few story boards, 2 or 3 screens, and some pictures. That's it. Worse, the price is at least 3 times what the short visit was worth. For 3 euros, 2 pounds or 4 dollars, it would be all right, but boring. At 9 euros per adult, it's a rip-off, plain and simple.
