“Well presented stone circle.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2014

The stone circle is in a lovely setting, but I rather liked seeing the Fulacht Fia as it was unexpected.

Its not a stop that will take long, its only a short walk in so once you get there, twenty minutes is really enough to cover the walk to and from and have a good look around.

“A Three-in-One Ancient Monument”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

Likely dating from different periods, the Bronze Age stone circle, which held the cremated remains of a youth in its center, is close by a Iron Age cook site and accompanying hut foundations. Was the sanctity of one spot the inspiration for the others? Explore in a virtual-reality tour here: http://www.voicesfromthedawn.com/drombeg-stone-circle/

“A beautiful and powerful place, well perseved and explained”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013

Definitely well worth the effort to get there. It's not that hard to find. The picture map of Rosscarbery on the road gave us good directions. A beautiful and powerful setting, and the stone circles are well preserved and well explained.

“Stones indeed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

Having parked and walked past the "you're not welcome on my land" signs, the stones were well kept, well explained and simple with cracking views over the bay. Worth a trip for quiet contemplation.
