“Excellent food in a beautiful setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

I have eaten 3 times in the The Church and find it consistently good. The staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and well priced but its the building itself that really makes the restaurant stand out and lends it to a lovely atomoshere. Will be going back again!

“Fantastic ambiance & Delicious food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

The building itself still has all the magnificent features of the old church. It's very large and was packed. The food was delicious, can't wait to go back again.

“Really nice setting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

We happen to be passing through Skib on a Wednesday evening and this place was recommended to us. The building itself is fab such much character and really set out well. We just had main course and I must say that the food was very nice but there are areas that it could improve on. The chicken was really nice but it was served with mashed potato and the only thing the mashed potato reminded me of is smash that you get in America. I know that at the moment the potatoes are new and that is the way they are but in a restaurant that is charging €17.90 for a main course of chicken they should intervise. The veg was really tasty but again abit basic for what you are paying for carrots, parsnips and green beans you can have them any day at home.
The staff were really ncie and the girl serving us was chatty. If i was passing through again I would defiantly return as a beautiful setting but maybe they should review there menu or else prices.

“Dinner at the Church”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Called in there for coffee on our first morning in the area as it had been recommended, and booked for dinner on Saturday evening. Beautiful restaurant, we sat upstairs, and the service was wonderful. We both had a lovely meal and although I enjoyed the wine my husband was just a little disappointed that they didn´t serve a non-alcoholic beer. Definitely recommend it.

“Beautiful setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

Amazing place....stained glass windows, the chandeliers, the interior and outside space. Food lovely....could do with extra staff as bit rushed off their feet!
