“An absolute delight! Must stay...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in January 2012. It is just outside the small village area, on the main road, but still super quiet. Our room was lovely - spacious, comfortable bed, small table and comfy chairs, a full dressing room/suitcase storage room, and clean bathroom. It looks recently refurbished and is VERY clean. The beds are perfectly comfortable (pillows a tiny bit hard) with very good quality sheets and duvet, which is a nice touch. Ann, the owner, is a delight - helpful, thoughtful and professional all at once. Gave us great recommendations about what to do and where to go in the area. The breakfast is excellent - hot food cooked to order and made beautifully. Very good value for money - the cheapest b&b we looked at in the area, and top quality. Definite recommend.

I stayed at this B&B for 3 nights in October 2012 and found it to be a really comfortable and home-like place to stay. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean and had all the amenities a traveller hopes for - ensuite, heating, flatscreen tv, free wifi, hair dryer, nice furnishings. The queen-size bed was comfortable with good quality bed linen and I had a lovely view over the back garden. Ann was very welcoming and friendly and there was lots of choice in the breakfast menu. She even offered to do a load of washing for me and my three walking companions and refused any payment - an act of generosity I didn't find at any other B&B on my travels around Ireland and England! I highly recommend Ann's B&B if you plan to stay at Cahersiveen, particularly if you have your own transport as the walk into the centre of town might be a bit long for some. Thank you Ann for a lovely stay!

We have been coming to Caheiciveen for years and staying at the Cul Draiochta. It has always been wonderful and Ann and Ian Nugent could not be more helpful and gracious. It is always a highlight of trips to Ireland. Love the Breakfast.!

My family and me stayed here for three nights. Ann Nugent as our host gave us a very warm welcome. Ann's hospitality accompanied us steadily during our stay and she organised the unforgettable boat trip to Skellig Island, so we could relax and hadn't to do anything to get a place on one of the small boats. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, so the kids were happy to spend a rainy day on their room with playing cards, reading books and relaxing. The rich breakfast was excellent for all tastes. Cul Draiochta is a highly recommendable place to spend a short or longer time. The prize per night is very, very reasonable comparing to other B&B's. The next time being in this region I wouldn't hesitate to book at Cul Draiochta again.

Stayed here over the bank-holiday week-end with a group of friends. Our hosts were very warm and welcoming – practically treated like part of the family. Rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable & clean. Even though there was a TV in the rooms, a comfortable TV room was at our disposal. It felt like home from home, without any of the work!
The Breakfast menu caters for everyone….selection of Cereals/ Porridge, a full-Irish, omelettes, scrambled egg with smoked salmon, poached/ scrambled eggs with bacon & potato waffle are some of the choices.
The hosts, Ian and Ann, organized our trip to the Skelligs and recommended places for us to eat.
We really enjoyed our stay, and we have already booked our stay with them for the end of October!

Our hosts were very warm. It was the only place where we were able to have diner with other guests and the hosts ! That was so great to discuss with them. The menu is a 3 courses menu with wine and coffee/tea. And menu and nights are not very expensive compared to other B&B ! Hosts are happy to share a good moment with guests. Smoked salmon at breakfast is the best I have ever eaten !
We really enjoy our stay, a great memory !
