Having read the review "Be Careful of Hidden Costs (Argus)", we would just like to clarify that the airport fee is clearly displayed on our website. It is not a 'hidden fee'. The terms and conditions do mention this fee. All potential customers must agree to these conditions, stating that they have read them. We therefore understand that all customers have read and accepted the terms and conditions. Planning to hire a car from Shannon Airport?Be very careful when getting quotes over the internet - make sure that you read the fine print of the terms and conditions as people like Argus hide costs in the terms and conditions, making their quotes look cheaper than other car hire companies.I decided to use Argus Car Rentals as they gave me the cheapest quote on-line. When I picked up my car, I was forced to pay a 22euro location charge (not in my quote, but in the fine print of the terms and conditions). This makes Argus one of the most expensive car hire options at Shannon.So watchout!

My husband and I stayed here on the 15th of October and whilst it is apparently a first class hotel there were a couple of issues that were far from first class. The main one being that they have only one porter on hand to help with the luggage when walking across to the airport and neither do they have any other means to transport the luggage,like some kind of cart with wheels. At 8 am on the morning of the 16th of October, there was nobody around to help, and with the excuse that the airport is just 2 minutes walk away, off we went in freezing cold early morning temperatures, dragging 4 heavy suitcases along with us. (And we were informed of this lack of service in a very unfriendly manner indeed, with no will to help whatsoever.)So, believe me,next time we will stay at a hotel that is not just at the airport, but one that has a mini van to take us there.
The second complaint that I have is that the bathroom was far from clean and the WC didn´t function properly. So, I can´t really recommend this hotel as first class at all.
