“So welcoming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2011

Coatesland House provided everything I needed for my vacation. The room was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. There was even a small refrigerator in my room. My view of the back garden was lovely.

Florence and Donal could not have been more helpful with suggestions of places to see and pubs to visit within walking distance.

Breakfast was unending. Choices ranged from cold cereals and yogurt to steaming hot oatmeal and fresh breads. There was a roaring fire in the guest lounge and private parking in the rear of the house. I would return to Coatesland anytime.

Donal was a gracious and spectacular host! He helped carry our bags up to our room, gave us suggestions for places to visit and pubs and resturants to go to. He is a very delightful man, who is more than happy to sit and chat with you if you have time. The room was spacious and clean and came with every ammenity that you could possibly need! Breakfast was fantastic and we had some of the best oatmeal that I've ever eaten.... very highly recommended, had a fantastic stay.

Florence is a lovely hostess, full of charm and personality, and her husband is as well. I wasn't sure who did the cooking, but I recall eating fruit, oatmeal, toast, and bread before being asked what I wanted for breakfast. Needless to say I was delightfully stuffed. We also enjoyed their adorable pups; it almost felt like home.

We also got some good advice regarding our travel plans (we didn't take it and regretted it!).

Lovely guest lounge with a roaring fire in the afternoon and evening. Very clean bedrooms with spotless bath. The BEST breakfast with terrific oatmeal. House was warm and one of the few B&Bs that supply washcloths. Very pleasant and helpful hosts. My dinner reservations were taken care of as was a tour of the Dresden Factory located about fifteen miles away.

  • Liked — Breakfast, comfortable beds, beautiful views of garden

Nice B&B just outside Adare village on the road to Tralee and Killarney.
Very typical B&B, owner (Donal) is very nice and helpful (oh, a hint for a great dinner: try Sean Connely pub in Adare!!!). Rooms very clean, decorated in a pure Irish style...
Breakfast very good (both typical Irish and continental). Large car parking at guests' disposal.
