“Fabulous in every aspect.. Can't highly enough.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

1826 is an absolute gem of a restaurant nestled amongst the thatched cottages on the main street of Adare, Limerick. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff warm and welcoming, the food... Well the food is as good as you will get anywhere. With fresh local produce and a talented daring chef, the result is a meal that will leave you wanting to scrape your plate.
The price was fair as well, not inexpensive but certainly good value for the quality of fare.
The best meal I have had in Limerick. No comparison to other restaurants in the region.
Looking forward to my next dining experience in 1826

“Great food, pity about the price of the water!,”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

We dined here last evening . The food was superb but we were taken aback when we were charged €11.90 for four 330 ml bottles of still water. We had asked for tap water when we arrived but were told it was unavailable as it had to be boiled. How can this price be justified?

“Lovely but hard on the pocket”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

Beautiful surroundings - very warm welcome. Seating a bit uncomfortable (nail sticking out of the table and the table leg in the way). HOWEVER! the quality of the food was out of this world - the taste, texture and aroma's were outstanding. The only drawback and still to this day our guests are saying my God €3.50 for 8 chips!! This was a bit ridiculous especially when the bill came to over 200 for 4 people.

“A Totally Heavenly Food!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

Adare is a beautiful place to go and visit at any time of the year. On this special birthday occasion, it was recommeded to go and have a dinner at the "1826" restaurant, which only opened in May 2013. If you want to make an impression to your friends or family or someone special and to have an amazing meal, with full flavour and a totally mouth watering experience, then this is the only place to come and eat in Adare! The chef/owner Wade along with his wife Elaine and the staff, create an exceptional and relaxing atmosphere. The old traditional Irish thached cottage (converted into a restaurant), is such a great place to come. But above all, it is the food and the way it's been prepared and cooked, that makes the whole difference! Come and you shall not regret it! Thank you Wade and Elaine. I'll be back!!
