“Beautiful Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

Stayed for two nights while attending a wedding. Was surprised at how comfortable the hotel was. Room was large bright and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a great variety. Only complaint buffet area at breakfast is a little cramped. The staff were very welcoming and helpful expeciall the receptionist who checked us in and it was just her second day working there. Hotel is in a great location in a beautiful village

Had pretty amazing beef for the evening meal & the staff were very attentive & helpful, dessert was tasty too. Comfortable, spacious bedrooms with all you would need, didn't use the gym but heard it was good. Breakfast was fairly yummy with a wide selection of everything from a fry to fruit.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the busy road.

We decided to break our journey back to Dublin from Kerry by staying overnight in Adare. The town itself was a bit too touristy for us. We booked two rooms in the Dunraven Arms Hotel - Euro 180 per room B&B (2 people in one room and 1 person in the other) very expensive in my opinion. It was a pleasant enough hotel but I would not be rushing back. Our rooms were upstairs (lots of them) and down a number of corridors - there was no lift. The bathroom in one of the rooms could really have done with a makeover....old world is one thing but this can be done in an attractive way and in this case it was not. Breakfast the following morning was good but the dining room was very busy and we felt a bit rushed. Got a bit of a shock when we requested the bill however, as we were being charged for someone else's dinner and wine.....this was resolved.

We reserved Dunraven but upon seeing the accommodations I was pleasantly surprised how elegant it was. Also the breakfast, the location (within walking distance) and the leisure center were extra bonus! I would return.

It was only one night but we really enjoyed our stay in spite of the weather. We didn't have a chance to experience dining but breakfast was fantastic! Very good choice. Room No 53 is spacious and has a garden view.

Room Tip: Room 53 is specious with a garden view. Would recommend!

We stayed here for three days to be close to Adare manor for a wedding we attended. The staff greeted us warmly and everyone was always polite and helpful. Since there in no A/C in this country due to cool weather, we were not prepared for their "heat wave" during our stay. The staff found a fan for us to use when asked. The hallways were fragrant with fresh flowers.
Room was clean and comfortable with modern amenities. Breakfast was buffet style and very tasty.

Room Tip: There is a pool/ spa area but we did not use these. Walking distance to just about everything since...
