“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

We have just returned from a 4 night stay, my niece got married at the hotel on the 12th April. The hotel was most welcoming, the staff were amazing, the friendliness and helpfulness takes you by surprise.
The food was excellent, there was a good choice at breakfast, the meal at the wedding was great.
We had two evening meals there and both times every course was excellent.
The Hotel rooms were spacious and clean, we would stay here again, thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The staff were very helpful and so nice it's just a pity the rooms were small and cold.We couldnt sleep because of the wind which the windows need to be sealed. While at breakfast we heard other people complain about the windows and how noisy it was and nobody got a nights sleep. The heater in the room didnt work. We had dinner in the cafe which was part of the deal, which was just as well because the price for food which was to expensive for practically sitting in a bar.

Returning to Dublin from Donegal this weeek I took a pitstop in the Landmark at around 6.00 pm.
I was directed to the bar for food which was moderately busy at the time- usually a good sign!

Perusing the menu, which struck me as expensive for bar food (€18 avarage for mains) I ordered the Cod and Chips expecting good quality at these prices. What was delivered was very good fish but totally spoiled by the acompanying frozen chips! This is simply not acceptable particularly at these prices. Before paying I expressed my disappointment to the waiter which was met with total indifference. I don't think I will be dining in the Landmark again any time soon.

I have stayed twice now for wedding, each time the hotel has been fantastic. The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious as well as being low cost. We were out until all hours and the reception staff were still really friendly and helpful throughout. I would thoroughly recommend it.

stayed here on sun nite of the easter weekend, went to see mick flavin there and got an all in deal with tickets into dance included. everything was really good about the hotel but i just have to mention the kindness of the staff, one member of our party became very ill the next morning due to forgetting his medication. after explaining the situation to the hotel receptionist, she checked with the manager and allowed us to check out at our convenience, even though a guest was expected to check into our room it was no problem to switch her to the room next door. this allowed our friend to rest and recover till 3pmso he could travel. the staff at this hotel couldnt do enough to please. fab breakfast menu also

Room Tip: ask for room looking out onto the river

Stayed at the Landmark Hotel for a family wedding in Feb 2013 and had an excellant stay. Great location in the centre of town with lovely views across the river from our bedroom. We stayed as a family with 2 teenage children in a family room which was very spacious and the kids had their own proper beds. The hotel was spotlessley clean and the food in all areas was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and couldnt do enough to keep us happy. The only minus point was the very loud music coming from the upstairs Boardwalk bar which thudded through the bedrooms on the Saturday night which kept other family members small children awake but this did finish at midnight so it wasnt too bad. Overall we had a lovely stay and it was surprisingly very good value. Would definately go back.

Dear Debbie,
Thank you for your very positive review of your recent visit to The Landmark Hotel. We are the very proud recipients of Wedding Venue of the Year 2012 and much of this has been accredited to our Customer Service which extends from our Wedding Couples to their Family and Friends. It is very rewarding for us to receive such positive reviews as your's, to hear that a family, travelling from the UK to attend a family wedding, have enjoyed their visit so much and noted the value for money that we offer. Thank you sincerely for taking the time to write this review and we look forward to welcoming you all back some time in the near future!
Kindest regards,
Aoife McCormack

We didn't know what we were all doing on Mother's Day so had not booked anything. Everything was full until we came across the Landmark Hotel. The Maitre'd was fantastic. She had a table for 5. The staff were welcoming and polite. It was very busy but the service was speedy. It was a brilliant surprise - and my daughter and I got a cupcake as we are both mothers. Fantastic.

Room Tip: Didn't get a room, but it looked fabulous.
