Four of us dined at the famous Jim Edwards in Kinsale in March 2006. The steak and lamb were delicious, however, the service was terrible. The restaurant was not overly crowded, and our waitress was observed standing around chatting with other staff while we waited for refills, the check, dessert menu, etc. The food is worth the trip, however, be prepared to be disappointed with the quality of service.

I had "Rack of Lamb" with potatoes au'gratin. Now, I have order this entree many, many times in many different cities & countries and this was "by far the BEST Rack of Lamb" that I have ever eaten. The potatoes were "as good, if not better, than what I have had in France"!!! That plus a nice bottle of wine & great service...was a wonderful meal. We talked about it many times after...that's when you know it's really good...when you just can't get the meal out of your mind!!!

Do yourself a favor and have a lovely dinner here!!!!

“Positively the best Steak and Seafood”

This restaurant serves the best steak I have ever tasted, fillet - cooked to perfection, how do they do it! If you want to visit you must book in advance, this is the best in town.

We ate at Jim edwards twice during a 4 night stay this would have been more if not for the availability. The meal was fantastic with a reception to match. Make your own mind up but i would advise a trip here if in Kinsale
