“Quaint Kinsale Charm - and parking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

What a wonderful find! This charming inn has wonderful, personal service and a great location. Noreen and Phil are lovely hosts with excellent suggestions. The breakfast was substantial and well prepared, served in a very pretty room. You can walk to everything from the inn. Finding good food and good music in Kinsale is not a challenge, but finding that parking space was very special after a long day on the road.

From the minute we walked in Noreen and Phil made us feel so welcome. There suggestions for restaurants was great. The Presbytery is a beautiful expanded town house with good parking. The rooms are all different and charming furnished with Irish antique pine furniture. The breakfast was excellent and generous with many choices. All six of us loved it.

Room Tip: All our rooms were quiet. Check them out on the website to see the one you want.

Stayed in Kinsale for a girls night away. Great location in a quiet street in the town centre. Extremely comfortable room and tastefully decorated. Lovely breakfast room, nice buffet and menu choice for hot breakfast.

This review is written by a fourty-something couple, no kids, on a moderate budget. We look for value and quality when we travel, but are not seeking 5 star accommodations. We are pretty Type A ...and we like to make our vacation plans ahead of time, but for this trip to Ireland our itinerary required we be much more fluid. We showed up in Kinsale at 7:00 p.m. and had no reservations. I saw the recommendation from Rick Steve's and took a risk. I was greeted by the owner, Phillip, who was so pleasant and had a small room available. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. He graciously showed it to me before I committed. The room was adorable and decorated in a cozy vintage style. The room may have been small but It was immaculately clean, the bedding was top notch, and the decor was charming. Breakfast the next morning was fabulous, and prepared by Phillip himself. The breakfast room was set up like a cute and quaint small dining room. Phillip's wife took our order. Yes, that's right...there was a menu, with all kinds of delightful choices. I had the poached eggs with a toasted bagel. My husband had scrambled eggs with sausage and toast. There was fruit (which I welcomed with travel) and oatmeal, jam, Irish brown bread, tea and coffee. We paid 80 EUR and I would gladly do it again. There was a private car park, and it was literally not even 5 minutes from the center of town and the shops and restaurants. We are still on holiday in Ireland and would gladly stay at The Presbytery again. Thank you for making this one of the positive memories of our holiday in Ireland!!

Cheers, Amy and Thomas

Stayed in Kinsale for a friends wedding and booked this place thanks to the reviews on Trip Advisor. Only my second ever review for a good reason! Great place and fabulous breakfast, with a top location and lovely owners...great experience

We stayed in the penthouse with another couple...If you travel well with your companions, I would highly recommend. It's a little bit of walk up to the 3rd floor but fully worth it!! The view is amazing, the decor is perfect, there are two bathrooms (one with a shower the other with a claw footed tub). I have nothing bad to say about the Old Presbytery, Noreen and Phil were incredibly accommodating and went about and beyond our expectations for hosts. The breakfast was phenomenal, everything from traditional Irish fare to more gourmet style menu items. Location was convenient and allowed us to walk every where. I look forward to my next visit to Kinsale!!

Room Tip: Penthouse, perfect for travel with another couple!!

We stayed at the Old Presbytery for 2 nights while in Kinsale. This guesthouse is beautifully maintained. The location is perfect as are the breakfasts served here! Kinsale is a wonderful town and Noreen had many good suggestions for restaurants and pubs.
