Now - great hospitality as soon as we arrived, with lots of friendly advice. Very nice room, traditional with a modern twist. Clean and cosy. Great breakfast. Perfect location in central Kinsale.

The only downside of this hotel is that the walls are thin. If you can get past that, this is an amazing hotel. It is in the very centre of the town, a short walk from all site...including Charles Fort. The
bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is very clean and modern. The Breakfast is amazing, and the staff is extremely friendly. I would recommend Old Bank House to all of my friends and family. Also, if you
go to Kinsale...you must eat at Fishy Fishy...trust me.

We stayed here at the end of October for the Irish bank holiday during the jazz festival. We were met with a great welcome and made to feel very much at home during our stay. Marguerite and Liane were very accommodating and literally catered to our every whim! Their local knowledge was great. The Jazz itself was great, especially The Trident, Ian Briggs and The Doc were fab! The rooms were really clean and there was a great choice for breakfast, the whole atmosphere of the place was really great. The Old Bank House is a definite must for anyone visiting Kinsale, it comes highly recommended.

We stayed in the Old Bank House for 3 nights at the begining of Nov. It is a really lovely guesthouse in a great localation in the town. We would of like a bar/lounge for guest to have a drink. Its only a small negitive, the room was lovely (at the back of the house) decor very in keeping with a Georgian house. Great choice for breakfast. I would recommend the Old Bank house. Tips: go to the Greyhound for a pint, Fisy Fishy for lunch, Toddies for dinner, it's all about food in Kinsale!!!

We were there for 2 nights with friends. The place was not full. When we arrived the welcome was very offhand from a rather untrained girl but this was the only problem area (she was either shy or untrained).
Our double room had a huge and very comfortable double bed and 2 large windows overlooking the main street (corner room).
The bathroom was a bit compact and had one light not working; there was also a strong damp smell.
Breakfast was fine and our deal included a meal at a next door restaurant on one night, in a hotel owned by the same people. The food was pretty average.
If we went to Kinsale again we might stay at the same place.
Note that in 2008 construction will take place on a huge hotel and restaurant complex which will block any views of the estuary from the hotel! It will be almost directly in front
