“Trip to Killarney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

Stopped off in The Mills Inn on way back to Cork from Killarney yesterday and was glad I we doe so. Sat outside in the beautiful sun shine food was every bit as good Vegetable Soup was thick and wholesome and Roast Beef that followed was oh so tender with generous portions. You will not be hungry leaving here. Staff also very pleasant. Next time I'm passing I'll definitely stop again.

I just returned from an event at the Mills. It is not a 5* Hotel but it is a very nice hotel. The staff are friendly and very efficient. The food is great, their burgers are exceptional. I have now stayed there 4 times and I can highly reccomend the Mills. the area is great and its in An Gaeltacht. Lots to see and do around or just relax. Rooms are not huge but are very clean and well maintained.

Beautiful breakfast served by lovely staff very polite.
I can highly recommend this place - probably the best value in a hotel you will find in Ireland.
If I sound over the top or biased, its just that I love this place

Have passed the Mills Inn on the way to Kerry several times but I have never stopped. Stopped with hungry children on our way back from our most recent Kerry trip & I am very sorry I didn't discover this restaurant before. The food is very very good. We arrived in the middle of a very busy bank holiday Monday, we were welcomed, sat down, order taken & food in front of us in less than 10 mins. I have never had food delivered so fast. Great when you have 2 small very hungry children with you. The cup of tea was served with a gorgeous home made oat biscuit which was a lovely touch. There is a little shop across the courtyard which is a food & wine hall as well as a gift & interiors shop. The welcome wasn't as warm there but still lovely for a wander after your meal. Stocked up on some lovely homemade baked goods from the restaurant there. Will definitely be making this Inn a regular stop when we visit Kerry.

The Inn is pleasing in all aspects , had 2 night's here travelling through , the rooms are tasefully decorated , well supplied , clean , staff are friendly and helpful and the food is what your Mum would cook and more , just like having Mum feed you ....... trying to fatten you up. The value is fantastic. Thankyou Mills Inn for making my first trip to Ireland memorable. Oh and love the shop , just couldn't take it all with me. :-)

Room Tip: I think all fine

The hosts make you feel like one of the family. The music is arguably the best Irish music in Ireland. The surrounding area is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and make this your base for visiting Southwest Ireland.
