“Interesting food in a scenic setting.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We went to La Sirena for an 'early bird'. Only 2 other tables occupied so no atmosphere but no surprise at that hour. We got a window table with a fine view of Island golf course across the estuary. I am no food expert but waiter was really friendly and helpful. He explained all the dishes and even brought sauce samples for us to taste.
We both began with juicy mussels in a beer-based sauce. I then had chicken tacos while my companion opted for meatballs. Everything tasted fresh and we were well satisfied.
With one beer and a glass of good white wine from Argentina our bill was €51. An enjoyable meal and no doubt La Sirena livens up later on and at weekends.

“Great food, lovely staff & of course the Ramones!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We headed into La Sirena on Saturday night for the first time on a friends recommendation. The food was excellent, plenty of it, cocktails were great too. The staff were lovely, couldn't have been more helpful, especially with dietary requirements. If you are a Ramones fan, La Sirena is a must with "the worlds smallest Ramones" museum. Great atmosphere with cool music. Will be back for sure.

“Not your typical mexican restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

I have been here a couple of times and really, really like it. Although all the usual suspects in mexican food are on the menu (nachos, quesadillas and burritos), they are done in a different way than most places. Theres nothing stodgy about this food, it's tasty and fresh. We had nachos and chorizo quesadillas to start and meatballs and enchiladas for main course. We both devoured every bit. This was in the early bird of 2 courses for €18.95. They hava a bucket of Sol beer (5 bottles) for €19.95. So we had our fill of fabulous food and beer for €58, not the easiest thing to manage in Dublin. I will be going back very soon.

“gabba gabba hey!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Heard there was 'the worlds smallest Ramones' museum in this mexican restaurant near Dublin, went to check it out and grabbed some food also. Museum was great, brought back some fond memories, also the food was awesome. Great Burritos and nachos and cocktails ! and some kind of mustard from Los Angeles that I couldn't remember the name of. Overall great Mexican food and a great night out! I was pleasantly surprised.

“La Sirena - great pm out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

We keep coming back to La Sirena for the tasty food and the new menus and the yummy Margheritas. I can't get enough of the Nachos (big portions) the crab taquitos and the mussels and my husband loves the chile and the pork burrito. The last time we were there they squeezed us in on a friday, they have live music on firday just loud enough to add atmosphere but still able to chat - which prompted us to skip the pub and order a jug instead (of Margherita!) Need to book ahead next time! We usually bring the kids if we are going during the week and its nice to see real chicken on the kids menu - plus skinny fries of course - mine love the corn on the cob too.
