We stayed in this B&B at the begining of May 2012. It was recommended to us by a family member and we were more than delighted with it.
We booked a family room. We were surprised that we got 2 rooms attached to each other. For the children, there was 1 room with 2 twin beds which led into a second room with a double bed. This meant we could leave the door open between the 2 bedrooms, rather than have the children stay in a room with a separate entrance.
We had a shower in our room, and a separate WC.
Lots of towels and comfortable beds, with fresh white linen, soft carpets and quilted toilet paper. Tea and coffee making facilities. My daughter slept in until 10:30am, a rarity!
The rooms were quiet in the back of the house and the place spotless.
Breakfast was delicious, would recommend the scrambled eggs. The breakfast room reminded me of an old style manor house, with the fire burning in the fireplace.
The B&B is very central being in the centre of the town of Boyle, with free parking in the street in front.
Boyle is a pretty little town, great shops, lovely walk along the river, and the historic part of town is very charming.
The host Patricia was professional and welcoming with lots of information. Her husband helped with giving us directions to a Christening in a very remote part of Roscommon. Thanks to him we got there on time.
Thanks to the hosts, we will be sure to return next time we are in that part of the world.
