“The Warm welcome, meticulous care of guests and good location of Coelnamara”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

This has been my 17th year of visiting Coelnamara for periods of 1 - 2 weeks. For 12 of those years I came in Spring and Autumn to enjoy the excellent golf facilities, the beautiful long beach and the leisure centre, all of which are within walking distance. The house which is in the centre of the village is very comfortable, the wooden floors shine and the diningroom where mighty breakfasts are served is light, well appointed and looks out to the sea.
The welcome is always warm, there has always been meticulous attention to the needs of guests.
The en suite bedrooms are well furnished, some of which have a sea view. This excellent establishment and its long serving serving staff have a long history of returning satisfied clients.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the house have a sea view.

We have stayed in Ceol na Mara for many years and as far as we are concerned it is the best place to stay. It is centrally located in the middle of the village. Most rooms have lovely views of the sea. The breakfast is always delicious with the best of everything in it. The proprietor, Jim O’Regan is always so welcoming and hospitable to us and indeed to everyone who stays. It is definitely the place to stay when in Enniscrone.

We enjoyed our stay. Rooms were neat and clean and we had a view of the beach. Bathroom small but everything was very clean. Jim was very helpful with restaurants and directions. My husband left a jacket in a restaurant and we emailed Jim who found it, and mailed it to us in the next post. We received it within 3 days after returning to the states! This was above and beyond helpful. Thanks so much, Jim!

For a short stay in Enniscrone this B&B is fine. Our room at the rear of the house was quite small and contained a double + twin bed. The mattresses were both is desperate need of replacement. This would go a long way to improving the guests' experience. View of the sea from these rooms is great. Bathroom was closet-sized. For a longer stay the quarters would have been too small. The proprietor is very kind and was genuinely concernd about a problem we were having with our rental car, directing us to a repair centre nearby. Good breakfast in lovely dining room.

Room Tip: Ask for room on back of house for a sea view.

Our family came from the United States to attend a wedding in Enniscrone and stayed three nights at the Ceol Na Mara Bed and Breakfast. It was very clean and comfortable and conveniently located for pubs, shops and access to the beach. There was parking directly in front of the guest house even though we did not make use of it. The breakfast was outstanding! We particularly enjoyed the Irish soda bread which was a treat for us.
The proprietor Jim O'Regan was especially helpful in securing transportation to and from the wedding and was gracious enough to leave us a "little something" in the kitchen on the morning we had an early departure for our flight back to the states.
The village of Enniscrone is really delightful. We ate lunch at the local cafe and then spent a couple of glorious hours on the beach which was a short walk from our guesthouse. The relaxed atmosphere of the village made us wish we had booked a few more days at Ceol Na Mara. We have several Irish relatives in the area so it may come to pass!

We had a fabulaous stay at Ceol Na Mara. This B&B is centrally located in Enniscrone (with parking). Easy walk to shops, pubs, and strand (beach). Our children had a room looking out over Killala Bay, and you could hear the music of the sea. We were in a different room, just as lovely and quiet. We brought our children over to Enniscrone to see where their Grandfather grew up, and this village is a "must see" in Ireland. Jim knows all the locals and is dialed in to the golf scene also. I should mention that we had a fabulous breakfast and the freshest eggs in all of Ireland. Ceol Na Mara is a great place to stay, and we hope to get back someday soon.

Room Tip: Rooms out the back have lovely views of the bay

My husband and 2 small children stayed in this Guesthouse around the 08 Aug 12 for 3 nights, We found it to be a brilliant location and Jim gave us a downstairs Room which was great as we could come and go with the Buggy etc and the car was parked very near the room which was also a geat help. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. And the staff and breakfast are great. I would definately recommend this Guesthouse.Thank you again from Adelle
