“2 days of heaven!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

My partner and I spent 2 wonderful days at The Waterfront House recently. From the minute we arrived, Martina, Jennifer and the staff made us feel so welcome. Martina even organised our seaweed baths at the nearby 'Killcullen' bath house ( would highly recommend by the way)
We had the most beautiful seaview overlooking Enniscrone beach and dining was second to none. We were only sorry that we couldn't stay longer. Possibly the most wnderful hospitality that either of us had encountered in many years! Thanks Martina and co! Will definitely be back soon.

My Boyfriend and I stayed here at the beginning of Feb '13 for two nights, and could not fault this guest house by any means. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the room was spacious and extremely comfortable, and well heated with an amazing view out on the sea (on booking we requested a sea view room). The food served was excellent, and we could not fault dinner nor breakfast that we recieved.
The owner, Martina, was delightful and would bend over backwards to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
Whilst staying we took a trip to the seaweed baths, which is everything it is cracked up to be, although you will be left completley drained and ready for a nap afterwards.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely return in the near future.

Room Tip: Be sure to request a sea view room on booking, you really won't regret it.

My mum and I stayed at The Waterfront for 10 days recently and we couldn't have been happier. Martina and her staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. It made staying there a pleasure especially as we were in the area visiting a sick relative so not exactly on vacation. The rooms are very spacious, comfy beds, great shower and just all round homely. We had room 106 which I think had the best view ever, overlooking the old bath house and gorgeous Enniscrone beach. The wine bar and restaurant were really good, and testament to that was they were full on the weekends with locals enjoying the cuisine and friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was outstanding and both being coeliacs, we were always catered for, even getting an array of gluten free breads during our stay. Also the best tea in Ireland I would say. P

Be sure to meet Rolo the resident dog, she likes to patrol the borders daily and is always up for pats if they are on offer.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Waterfront, it was perfect, thank you Martina.

Room Tip: Ask for a waterfront view as its breathtaking to wake up,overlooking the stunning beach.

We took a one night break at the Waterfront and took in the nearby seaweed baths as well. The Hotel is situated in a perfect position overlooking the beach and bay and just a short walk from the town. The bedroom was huge with great sea views, very well appointed bathroom and piping hot radiators were just the thing for a bitterly cold March day. The Restaurant is really excellent and Jennifer Scott the manager is professionalism personified, we enquired about boat trips and walking tracks and she could not have been more helpful. The food is excellent - try the seafood chowder ! - Superb. Martina, the owner of the hotel, is a delight to meet, friendly, professional, and interested in all her guests. We were sorry we had only booked for one night - but we will be back ! P.S. - The nearby Kilcullen seaweed baths are just the job after a long walk on the beach.

Room Tip: Ask for a bedroom overlooking the sea.

I had only planned on staying for one night but ended up staying for 3 because I loved it so much. The room was huge and spotless with a breathtaking view of the sea. The location is perfect and just a few yards up from the Kilcullen bath house. Martina made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was superb. I have stayed in 4 star hotels before and this gem of a place blows them out of the water. Could not find any fault with the place and I can't wait to return !

We have just arrived back from a wonderful 2 night stay in the Waterfront House.
We had an amazing view of the sea from our room. Loved when we opened the window all you could hear was the waves crashing off the rocks.
Food was amazing from the superb breakfast in bed to the enjoyable evening meal.
Had the pleasure of meeting Martina...nothing was too much trouble.
What a fab location for walks on the beach which is literally a stone throw away.
We will be back!!!

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a room with a view to the sea>
