“Pleasant stay at Fitzgerald's Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2006

My partner and myself spent a very pleasant weekend in Bundoran staying at Fitzgerald's Hotel. We enjoyed a warm, spacious bedroom with lovely seaviews and excellent food in the Hotel restaurant. All in all very good value for money.

Oh my god where do I start with this nightmare, I think I need councelling. Before we decided on a place to stay we checked out this site for a review Fitzgearlds seemed to win hands down. But this is a good example of not to believe what you read. On entering the hotel I was expected to meet Basil Faulty and his side kick Manuel. Trying to check in was a joke they had no record of our reservation, but then they found it only to say they had not as their was another couple with the same name as us. Basil himself or whatever his name is more or less grabbed our luggage and chucked it out the main doors onto the street. We had travelled from England and in the end had to move on to sligo to get accomodation as there were no vacancies anywhere else in Bundoran.

Fitzgerald's Hotel is a small family run business and bookings and check-ins are dealt with by a member of the family. We are, at all times, fully aware of any incidents which arise in the course of our business. In respect of the events described so colourfully by your member from Manchester, while we cannot recall such incidents, we are in a position to confirm that at no time was a guest's luggage or other belongings "grabbed and chucked onto the street" not in August 2005 nor in any of the 27 years during which I have been Manager/Owner of this Hotel.

We spent Easter at Fitzgeralds Hotel. the hotel was spotless and the food was excellant. there was a great atmosphere in the place and the guy who owns it is both friendly and charming.
my only word of caution is that this hotel would not be suitable for people with walking difficulties as there didn't seem to be any lifts. but if you're fit and healthy - head to Fitzgeralds, it's fantastic!!!

August 2004, this is the third time staying in Fitzgeralds Hotel and once again we were not disappointed. Service was excellent and staff very friendly.During our stay my son had his 3rd birthday, john the bistro manager was very helpful when it came to presenting my son Kealans birthday cake and the staff made a point of wishing him happy birthday. I would have no hesitation in recommending Fitzgeralds Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxed, stress free break with first class srevice.

A party of three couples celebrating a 50th Birthday stayed two nights B & B with one evening meal at Fitzgeralds Hotel and could not have been better looked after in what was a perfect small hotel.

The place was spotless and well furnished, the food was first class in both quality and quantity.

The only potential problem if you are a light sleeper is the rooms with a georgeous view of Donegal bay are also overlooking the main road which is busy.

Stay again? Without hesitation.
