Description: Marlboro House Restaurant and B & B - passion for food. They say too many cooks spoil the broth. This is not the case at Marlboro House where the team ensures consistantly high levels of delightful cuisine. Propieter, Michael McWeeney enures every customer leaves the doors satisified. Michael has worked in many fine kitchens including Ashford Castle and together with head chef Roisin Hilley they put all their experience, talent and passion into the food, to provide you with a truly memorable culinary treat. Michael and his team of talented chefs prepare a variety of mouthwatering appetisers, sumptuous main courses and, frankly, sinful desserts.Whether you like seafood fresh from the Atlantic, fancy a tender steak, want to try one of our special pasta dishes or prefer one of our vegetarian meals, Marlboro House will have the meal to suit your palate. Our staff will always be on hand with our excellent wine list and will be happy to assist you in your choice

“last minute meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

We visited this establishment when we were informed by a local hotel where we were staying that we were unable to have any food! There was a function on in the hotel and we were told the resturant was unavailable which was fine. What we were not told was that last orders for bar food was 7 pm!!! At this point we had had several drinks and did not want to drive. One of our party suggested the Marlboro which luckily was nearby.

On arrival the resturant was quiet, but we were warmly welcomed by a gentleman who we took to be the owner. He showed to a lovely fire and and brought us drinks while we perused the menu.He engaged us in conversation and ensured we were warm and comfortable as it was a very cold night.

We were a party of four and we each ordered different dishes. Each was cooked to perfection and were delicious. When we ordered desserts and coffee it was suggested that we ajourn to the
comfort of the fireside, which we did. Again the desserts were first class. This was our first and unexpected visit but it certainly it wont be the last. In fact the meal was much better than the meal we had in the hotel the next night!

“Birthday meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

The manager of this restaurant has great customer service skills. He also knows his wines! The menu offered lots of choices and the food was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The open coal fire created the perfect atmosphere for a few after dinner drinks and a chat with other diners. Great spot.

Menu was well presented , good choice very tasty food . Timely service . Nice to see in a culture of many over priced poor quality restaurants that one can still find great quality and good value . A simple menu for all tastes !

“Super food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

I went here a few weeks ago nad have been meaning to update and let you know what it was like. Well if your like me and you love your seafood what more could you want is all i will say. On arriving at the restaurant we were greeted by the owner Michael and given a nice comfy couch to sit at and look at the menu's. They then brought our drinks to us here which was so nice as we had a chat in front of an open fire and comtemplated what to have. We were then called to the dining room and seated. The tables and the restuarant were warm, clean and the staff were very friendly girls. I had the scallops with black pudding and asparagus to start which was to die for. Then i opted for a mixed seafood pasta for main. Everything about the place has a great vibe and the food was second to none at very reasonable prices. If your looking for someone in Bundoran then this is your place. Very close to town also and only a short distance to the beach although in October maybe not!! I noticed they also do B & B so i will definitely be back to try and B & B and have another fab meal.
