“Perfect intimate wedding venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

My husband and I had our wedding reception at this hotel last September. Our guests are still raving about the first class food, service and breathtaking views. Our wedding was over two days and as we booked up the ten rooms available many of our guests stayed in the cottages around the hotel. This gave the weekend the feel that we had rented out our own little village by a pier. I can't thank Maddy the manager and the other staff members enough for their excellent service. I fell in love with Creevy Pier the first time I went there in 2005 and all anyone has to do is go once and I guarantee they will love it just as much as me. Its a perfect hideaway overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and I plan to return many many times.

stayed an overnight here with a group of cyclists, secure room prvided for the bikes. Bar prices reasonable, bedrooms clean & tidy, no weddings-disco's. It is located on a pier & is scenic. Restaurant very reasonable, great not to get rippped off & good value for money

My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel on the 6th and 7th of May 2013. What a lovely place, if you can find it. It is not well signposted. We had to ask people in Ballyshannon where it was. It is about 5 miles outside Ballyshannon, down a single track road towards the sea. But, when you get there, the views are breathtaking. The weather was not great, but the Bank Holiday Monday was not too bad. There were plenty of walkers and fishermen. The hotel is all on one level, which was brilliant for my girlfriend as she walks using a crutch. We were in room 3. Everything you needed was there. The bed was very comfortable and everything was nice and clean. The only thing was that we did not have hot water for the 2 nights we stayed there. The staff were helpful but, somehow, the problem was not fixed. Maybe they had their minds on other things, as the Health and Safety people were due to arrive on the Wednesday!!! Apart from that everything else was brilliant and we would definitely go back there again.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good. Some have better views than others.

Great place to relax with wonderful views. Staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and couldn't fault them at all. Food was excellent. Rooms were nicely decorated and had all that we required. It was not the easiest place to find, but once there it was a little paradise (weather apart)! Well worth a return visit at some time in the future.

Room Tip: Had we known beforehand, we would have asked for a front room looking directly out on to the water...

I found this place when a friend wanted to view a holiday home. It almost took my breath away as this is such an unspoilt area. I returned to Belfast to share the find and recruited a fellow walker to enjoy the coastal path. We returned 2 weeks later and walked from the pier to near Ballyshannon. A local farmer drove us back to hotel as we went far beyond the map (be careful). The following day we walked the other way from the hotel to Rossnowlagh, another beautiful walk. We returned by the road as rain and wind altered. The stay in the hotel was first class, clean, comfortable beds and excellent food, staff very friendly. I have already shared this with walking groups whom I know will be booking. The setting combined with the service 5* from a very happy walker.

Room Tip: Two honeymoon suite rooms at front would be preferable but any others totally acceptable.

We stayed at the Creevy Pier Hotel for two days for some rest and relaxation. To say that we enjoyed our trip is an understatement, from the minute we arrived to the minute we left everything was perfect from the views to the staff, food and room. We stayed in room 7 which was amazing to wake up to the scenery. We even inquired about having our wedding here as it is so perfect and this will definitely be something we will be looking into further. I don't have any complaints but I do have two small suggestions, 1st is signposting the hotel, possibly around the roundabout at Ballyshannon/ Rossnowlagh junction and from there its very easy to get to. The 2nd is a welcome pack in the room with menu and breakfast details. Other than this we had such a relaxing time and we will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel who were very nice to us and we would recommend you to friends and family.

Room Tip: Request room 6 or 7 as the views are amazing to wake up too. Let the shower run for a few minutes t...

Just returned from a three night groupon deal at Creevy Pier Hotel, fantastic value for money. The hotel has recently been refurbished and feels like a new hotel. The bedroom (room 6) had the most amazing views we had ever seen, clinically clean and comfortably warm. The shower was great if you let the water run for a few minutes to get warm. The breakfast was fantastic and more than anyone could possibly eat. The evening meal was as good as any top hotel and very good value. Although slightly understaffed at times, the staff were very curteous, welcoming and very hard working. We took a taxi to Ballyshannon on one night which cost 8 euro each way, great service and would reccomend Dicey Reillys pub. Overall a very pleasant trip which we plan to repeat. Congratulations to Maddy and her staff.

Room Tip: room 6 or 7 for excellent view.
