On a farmhouse bed and breakfast trip through Ireland, our best find was this wonderful B&B, the Coill an Rois. Following our directions, and worrying we had totally missed it, there was the distinctive pink house across the road. Jimmy Bruic, our wonderful host, and his charming hospitality are not to be missed. We were greeted with a warm welcome, the offer of a beverage and fresh from the oven snacks. After some chat, we were sent off to a very good local restaurant for dinner, but only after Jimmy called ahead to confer about the menu offerings for one of our party who is Vegan, and to make our reservation .
The rooms, with bathrooms en suite, were bright, clean and comfortable. There is a jacuzzi for the guests, too.
The breakfast choices were extensive. The food was delicious, plentiful, and filling. Don't say no to the scones! The cheerful, relaxed atmosphere made this a restful, warm, and fun place to be. It was readily apparent in the other guests as well.
On our second day, we were sent off with maps, directions and a reasonable time frame to begin touring the Dingle Penninsula. (Be sure to really listen to directions because we found the roads and attractions to have very few signs.)
I hope to return soon to Ireland, and would gladly spend an entire week at Jimmy Bruic's Coill an Rois next time.
