“Best hotel ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

This is one of the most charming and delightful places I have ever stayed! It is easy to find, has parking on site, and has a great view of the water. My room had a window looking out at the little bay in the front, and out on the woods in the back. The bathroom is so gorgeous I took a picture of it (fabulous jacuzzi tub, among other amenities!) Helen and Brian were friendly and helpful (and made a connection for us for our room in Doolin the next night). Helen had also been very helpful in planning our trip, and emailed back and forth with my daughter many times to answer questions. The breakfast selections were varied and delicious. (Try "Brian's Favorite Omelet" !) We loved this place and hated to leave! I was traveling with my daughter and son-in-law, and our rooms were next door to each other, which was handy. I not only would stay here again, I would make it my destination!

Room Tip: Both of the rooms I saw were gorgeous!

WE wish we could have stayed longer in beautiful dingle and the Castlewood guest house - it is very pretty and very nicely appointed with antiques and beautiful peaceful rooms. Everything was perfect. A friend highly recommended this place and after staying there we understand why. Fabulous, fabulous gourmet breakfasts!! The hosts and staff were great - very nice folks, and very helpful in planning sightseeing tours, and tips for town and dinners. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our spacious and well appointed accommodation. We really enjoyed our time here in the beautiful Dingle peninsula. Celebrating Arthur's Day in the town was a great Irish experience! Brian and Helen are very attentive to whatever you may need. Breakfast was exceptional!

Brian and Helen run a fabulous B&B! I have stayed in many hotels in Europe over the past few years and this is by far the best! The room was spacious, clean and up to date. It had everything we could possibly need including robes and slippers. The entire B&B is beautifully decorated and Brian and Helen offer round the clock coffee, tea and muffins. They even have a 'to go' station by the front door. Helen graciously explained the drive around the peninsula including places to stop and places to skip. Brian prepared a tasty breakfast and the wait staff served it with a smile! There in no question in my mind that I will be back someday soon!

Room Tip: Every room is perfect!

This is a spectacular place to visit. Dingle itself is a lovely town and castlewood is only a short walk away. The beautiful view over Dingle bay is matched inside, with lovely decor that iis almost regal with clean wonderful room. The suite has an amazing jacuzzi bath. Then there is the breakfast....the complete package

at the Castlewood House in Dingle (Dingle was about our favorite place on our southern itinerary in Ireland), sparing no expense to make this property shine! This is a new property, built to blend into the other older buidlings in Dingle, job well done, everything is well thought out and details were noted. Floors, paint colors, interior furnishings, exterior landscaping, fabrics, moldings....they have done an excellent job. The inn is comfortable, classy and has a relaxed, inviting ambiance. There is tea service in the afternoon, they sell wines by the bottle for your own happy hour and breakfasts are served in a lovely dining room overlooking the bay. Food delicious, lots of homemade jams, fruits marinated in interesting marinades, full extensive menu for hot orders...much more extensive than any other place we visited and they were finalists for the best scone in Ireland! Very friendly, helpful and considerate staff..from check in to service to check out. Location is perfect , just very slightly at the end of the main area, within walking distance....good parking in front of lodging and you are right in the direction to explore Dingle peninsula later. We loved our time here, the bedroom well decorated, bath was the best bathroom facility we encountered...best shower in Ireland!! And was brand new..with nice toiletries. My only negative comment is once again mattress was not particularly comfortable, just questioned why all the mattresses held the same discomfort level...but oh well...! That is minor in the scheme of things...highly recommend Castlewood House.

Room Tip: ask for a room away from the parking lot, something overlooking garden area ...

I don't think I have ever come across an establishment on Tripadvisor that has elicited such unqualified praise as has Castlewood House but having just spent 3 nights there, I can now understand why this is so.
No need to repeat the many, many accolades of so many previous reviewers, suffice to say that Brian, Helen and there staff put on a peerless show. Castlewood House is immaculately maintained, the rooms beautifully furnished and comfortable, the service superb - and their now legendary breakfasts in a league of their own! The attention to detail, in every respect, is quite astonishing.
Dingle itself, and with the Peninsula on your doorstep, has so much to offer. Castlewood House provides the perfect base and is also excellent value for money.

Room Tip: We booked a deluxe room which was spacious, as was the well appointed bathroom. Well worth the littl...
