“The Highest Standards”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Have not the slightest concern about choosing this lovely guesthouse. We have stayed at Dublin and London hotels with room rates many times over those of the Castlewood House and I see little difference in attention to detail and quality of surroundings. Brian Heaton (we never met Helen) is the essence of innkeeper, attentive to your situation, gracious host, always around but not intrusive, and he even takes the time to come out of the kitchen to chat you up during his fine breakfast. The state of the property and furnishings is first class with room views to die for right on the bay. Situated in The Wood, the pubs and Dingle proper are maybe five to eight minutes walk along the waterfront. My sister and I had to get along, but we wish we could have stayed longer in Dingle and in the Castlewood House Guesthouse. We will return.

Beautiful setting, room, staff and breakfast. Only complaint is we stayed 1 night. Room was clean, beautiful furnishings, whirlpool tub and quiet. Check in was full of helpful hints and recommendations. Breakfast was the best we had during our 2 weeks in the British Isles. Perfection!

Our second time to visit. No difference still as good with attention to every detail. Keep up the good work Brian and Helen. And the girls in the breakfast room in the morning are brilliant staff. Just wish we could have stayed longer

Purpose built elegant home overlooking the bay - beautifully furnished and immaculate. Flowers in the entrance hall. A warm welcome and our hosts a mine of information on where to go, where to eat. A great breakfast. My best was the kettle and teapot in the room for tea (or coffee). As the Irish say "Purrfect" Three generations of our family were having a family reunion celebration and we could not have wished for a better choice than Castlewood.

We stayed one night at the Castlewood House.
We had a deluxe room,(room n.12),at the price of € 150.00.
The room was clean, with a nice bathroom, but nothing that worth that kind of price,we had also the view on the other house colse to the our,and were no gardens o outside space.
Anyway the place is nice, except for the street that is too much close to the house, but the breakfast is the best one that we had in Ireland.
If you are bookin a deluxe, ask for a room different from the number 12!

We stayed here for 2 nights in a beautiful family room which was spacious and immaculately clean. Breakfast made by Brian was fabulous with an amazing choice available, served by very friendly staff. It is situated across from Dingle bay and is just a short walk from the centre of Dingle. Brian and Helen are extremely friendly and make you feel very welcome.
