It was the middle of our nine day trip around Ireland and this day fell on our 25th anniversary (We were there for 22 & 23 May 2012). What a fantastic place to spend our special day. Driving past Inch Beach and knowing where we were heading, the anticipation was almost unbearable. We were not disappointed! The Castlewood House is set right on the water's edge with a gorgeous view. The building itself is beautiful and a great parking area. Though it was quiet windy when we arrived, once you walked in, it felt very warm and welcoming. We were greeted by Brian - so friendly - he asked us what our plans were while in town. He showed us a map of the area and pointed out some places to us that we might find interesting. Took us up to our room - WOW! - was my first impression. I wished my own bedroom looked this good! Honestly, it was the best of all the places we stayed at while on vacation - very understandable as to why they have got such a high rating - it's very well deserved. We needed to borrow an iron, no problem, he had it up to us within minutes. They really do go out of their way to make you comfortable and get the most of your experience while you're there. Our room over-looked the bay and though the weather wasn't the best, it was still a gorgeous view. I could easily imagine myself staying there and 'living happily ever after'. From the coffee & tea set, to the robes, books and all the little extras, it shows how important their guests are to them. It was extremely quiet when we came back from the pub, sleeping peacefully the entire night. Hot shower in the morning - wonderful! Breakfast in the morning was the best! I tried to make something close to it when we got home because my husband loved it so much and raved about it endlessly. I came close, but I think he would rather just go back! Simply the best place to stay when you're in Dingle.
Rooms on the front side are the best views of the bay - but no matter which room you get, you're...
