“2nd time at Bernie's”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012

Everyone of my clients stays at Bambury Guesthouse while in Dingle. My Family as well. Bernie is so hospitable and caring. The house is clean with comfortable beds, a great location and the best scones in Ireland! I have stayed twice myself and send my clients there regardless of the fact I make no money on it! If that isn't a good review I don't know what is! Check out the extrordinarily chatty cow in the back yard.

We arrived in Dingle soaking wet & cold after a hike in The Burren in 'typical' Irish conditions. Berna greeted us with that typical friendly Irish hospitality we have come to love & expect here in Ireland. Nothing was too much trouble including washing our sodden clothing. Our room was spacious & clean & quiet & breakfast the next morning was great with loads of choice other than the 'full Irish' which we appreciated after a week of the same. We thoroughly recommend this friendly clean B & B.

We stay here every time we come to Ireland. We were here 6 days and had a wonderful time. They are so welcoming, it feels like you are family. The breakfast is wonderful. The rooms are large and exceptionally clean. I recommend it highly! It is within walking distance of town and all the shops, restaurants, marina and pubs.

We stayed at Bambury's in Dingle last week. It was wonderful in every way. The room was spacious, modern and clean and the location was very convenient to the pubs, shops and restaurants. Bernie, our hostess, went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. And the breakfast was amazing, best we had on our entire trip. We kept running into vacationers the rest of our trip who were headed to Dingle and told everyone of them about it. It was quite a great value, we had stopped at another b&b up the road with a much higher price and smaller room.
Stay here.

I was expecting a lot from the reviews, and I was happy with the overall stay. I have to mention that I thought the breakfast was amazing, it was so much better than a hotel breakfast, and I have stayed in some fancy hotels, but the traditional irish fry at this b and b was so fresh and tasty, and the breakfast room was lovely and relaxing, so we lingered chatting over breakfast.

The room was nice, but the ensuite bathroom was a bit tired looking, lino on the floor and not as modern as i would expect. There was a little bit of noise from the room next door at night time, but we were after a few drinks so it didn't effect us too much.

Location was a bit bonus, it is perfect, just a 5 min walk into town.

When a place is consistently this good it's hard to do much more than echo previous reviewers' comments. So just a few very brief remarks...Rooms: very spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast: fantastic, we had cereal, scones, fruit and a full Irish fry-up every morning. Owner: Bernie Bambury is lovely. Location: literally a few minutes from the town centre, and the water's edge. To finish, a note on Dingle itself... we were there for a wedding and found the people and the place very warm and welcoming. The food was out of this world and there is a really fine selection of pubs. Foxy John's and Curran's spring to mind; visit them and you'll see for yourself! We had such a great time that I will make sure we go back before too long - and we will stay at Bernie Bambury's.
